I was asked about my export settings so i figured it might be useful to anyone else wondering these same things

My day went fine

Yesterday I had an mot test (that’s a roadworthy check for cars in uk) and my car failed because the parking brake on one side was non existent. So we went back to George’s house to go and free up this damn parking brake. Well, this ended in tears cos the stupid thing seized but this time in the on position so I had smoke coming out my brakes and of course this wasn’t going to pass the test. Accidents

I accidentally painted ivy today as well. I really wasn’t supposed to but I was waiting on some feedback from a sponsor and they were taking too long so I got distracted and one thing led to another, and now here we are. I can’t lie I printed ivy with my bum hole though. Some terrible suction issues. But I was a little bored during my wait. Oops. 🤷🏻‍♂️ any way it’s rough edit night so I’m gonna get to it.

Wips

Today I managed to get cammy done and chunli and during the process I dropped Zeus and he now has a battle scar. I just can’t be arsed to go back and fix it now haha this is how he stays. Also I managed to completely botch the eyes on chunli and it’s another situation of, “oh well” I used that model as a example for skin painting same with cammy just because it’s so much skin it made sense in my brain and now that I’ve completed them I ...

More wips from today. I worked a little more on that cami too. Not much else to say today felt like a long day hahaha Imma go home and melt in my bed for a bit 😂

Zeus

The mighty god of thunder has started getting attention today. I got called home a tad early due to a lack of tomato purée so I ended the day early (still left the studio after 6pm) I was going to stay and almost complete Zeus today but I had to be the tomato saviour. Tomorrow is a new day.

Also I managed to fit a tiny led in his hand 🤚

Oh and in case you’re wondering, yes that is the same skin tones I’ve been talking about. 👀

Different skin same colours

Part of the patreon video is going to be using the same set for different results. And also using it different ways. As usual I’m beyond stretched for time but I’ll do my best to get this video done by next week. Also I may go live tomorrow for patreons. I’m super stressed about live streams so if I do it will be a spur of the moment thing and I’ll probably post about it here just before I go live.

Zeus and my desk.

Here is Zeus printed. I think I’m not gonna go with yellow for the bolt. I’ll probably change that this weekend. He’s a bit small to do lighting in the bolt but I’m gonna try put some leds in his hand so it’s kinda lit up.

Also here my desk and how I make thumbnails I use my iPad to do anything graphics like thumbnails or any animations (not that’s there’s many)

And my computer is just for printing basically. 😂

Wips and daily catchup.

I was editing all day today for tomorrows video. But I managed to get a little more done on chunli

I tried to prime the cami model but for some reason I think I didn’t shake the can or I sprayed way too thick because it cracked under the hairdryer so I have had to reprint that top half of cami. Annoyingly they kept it all as one piece. Oh well.

Next week I’m painting Zeus from ca 3d studios

Skin tones (again)

Sooo I’ve made a change. Main focus was getting away from the “sets” for now so that I can replace single bottle rather than whole sets for one bottle.

I was doing some tests and I’m pretty sold on this, at least for my style of painting.

I’m going to be painting two models with a slightly different approach to each and there will be an exclusive video for this on patreon. With as much explanation as I can muster. Also one will be more complex and the other ...

Jubilee is done.

I managed to complete her yesterday actually but I had to redo her eyes cos I dunno what went wrong but I was not doing the right thing hahahaha. Anyway thought I’d share the pics of her with you. Not probably the final pics but it’s done for now. I did consider putting the battery inside the base but though screw it im just using a cable for now time is not my friend so it seemed the least time consuming option at the time.

Here’s my dump for today. Not gonna lie this models head sculpt is a 10/10 for difficulty. Especially if you trying to keep a “transparent” look to the glasses. I think I’ve already sanded them back 4 times due to clear coats being a ball bag. I’m leaving it for today as I fear the next coat will be against the wall. So here’s my WIP dump from my work today. Weird day

So this morning I was meant to tattoo but my friggen machine decided that today is the day it goes to heaven. I fought with it all day and eventually let my customer go home early. Also struggling with emails for tattooing too so basically the universe is saying tattoos should get in the bin. Annoyingly that’s still what helps to cover bills so, to say I had a stressful day is probably a bit light.

To jubilees base. I’m not gonna lie I masked it like a shmuck and it’s an actual mess but I don’t have time to go back now it’s just how it’s gonna be. Also I cracked it by friggen tryna drill holes for the magnets which I forgot to add when slicing. Oh well.

We will never know. Maybe his eyes are a bit pink but if you don’t say anything then I won’t. I wasn’t gonna use the smiley head I liked the angry one because it reminded me of the don cheadle skit of captian planet. Captain spandex is almost done. Just waiting for gold rings to dry so I can paint the silver ones then Chuck it all together and call it Bob.

I have reprinted the head in clear to see if I can get enough detail to keep her glasses transparent a little bit. I’ll keep you updated here as usual.

I left the studio late today. Got sucked into print setups. And then while waiting for a high def anti ailiasing slice I got sucked into more painting so I left super late but I’ve got some where with Captain Planet from nice x collectibles. Reprinting his base because there’s a version with cuts that would make it so much easier to paint. Also I dropped his head and it broke so I had to reprint that too.

Fails…

I don’t often have fails. But when I’m not paying attention then it happens. Also coincided with the weather getting rapidly colder over night so that didn’t help. I’m convinced this would’ve printed had it not gotten that cold. But all is good new resin on the way. Imma show you guys tomorrow what next weeks model is.

Psylocke

Sooooo I’ve started on oahylocke from peach studio my base failed haha oopsy. Also it’s meant to get really cold tonight and the base is on again overnight so I hope it just comes out somewhat usable. Definitely felt colder when I left to go home earlier. Tomorrow’s update will be a extra video for didnt f@£k off crew. It’s about lights. I’ll spoil it for ya. Lol.

This next week I’ll be working on a piece from peach figure. It’s not this one. Lol. But I thought I’d share this with you guys for today. And tomorrow I’ll share the psylocke statue that I am almost done printing. And will make a video on for next week.
