WE F*CKED UP!! 😱 caught in fishing net, and confronted.. (our worst night sailing)

revealing the crazy, scary sail we had in penang... the experience we had was the consequence of not keep a proper watch. this is not something we are proud of, but have learned from and will never let happen again while we are at sea.
we are very lucky the fishermen didnt push the confrontation past threats and yelling.

Very new to me! My friend at the marina encouraged me to try yoga with her and snapped some pics. I'm a bit shy but taking the leap and stretching in the morning before editing or doing work on the boat... Actually feels great and worth the effort if I can get up in time. Honestly I never thought I'd be doing this! 😃 Here I am lol.

⛵😲 OUR FIRST SAIL IN A YEAR!!!

Wow!! So we took Sharmila out for a sail and a motor to see how she's doing after being on the hard for so long - and she's flying!! No issues with the sails or with the engine. She is a little quieter when motoring now that we've replaced the engine mounts and aligned the shaft. Only thing is.. We are a bit rusty! I am anyway, remembering procedure and lines and what does what goes where and how! 😵‍💫

⚓️🔗⚠️ Critical Maintenance: Painting our anchor chain markings!!

Sharmila's chain markings had completely worn off!! Really bad.
When anchoring it is imperative to know how much chain you have let out. 🔗
If you use a scope of 5 to 1 you will usually be safe from dragging your anchor. You can let out more chain if the weather is adverse , to be safe.🌊 Example: If the depth is 10 meters, then 50 meters of chain is more than sufficient. It can be difficult to know how much chain you have let out, so marking the chain at 10 meter intervals with hig...

We are SHOCKED how comfortable this boat is after the HUGE CHANGES to our cockpit! NEVER AGAIN will we suppress and ignore the feeling of discomfort on a boat - if something is uncomfortable, it's uncomfortable and can be changed in some way!! 👍👍👍
