Overlapping shapes

Overlapping shapes it´s an effective way to create a more tangible and realistic space between characters. On the left, you can see that the thin guy´s silhouette overlaps completely that of Dirk. However, on the right you can see that the thin guy´s contour is broken on his arm by Dirk´s cup, overlapping each other at some point. This enhances the interaction and space between them. Little tricks I wanted to share with you to let you know understand better my art ; )

If it wouldn’t be for the generous tip Oscar and Bob gave on the Belly Popper meal, the delivery man would never have come back a third time.
