Heads up.

I wanted to give an update on the latest Influencer around the inverted roo picture you voted on last month. It's still progressing through as best I can make time for it. It's still very rough, but it's looking like a small sequence with the voted image being the 'final' image.

It will still be a while before it's done and posted, but here's a teaser for the sequence part.

Some additional stuff from this month. I acknowledge it's pretty sketchy, but I'm thinking about posting it in the future. At least as a scrap form above. It was going to have a part one, but I don't know what it would even look like.

Updates to the Patreon!

Hello folks,

I want to start by thanking all of you for your contributions so far. I have made some changes to the Patreon, specifically updating the tiers. This includes:

+ Adding a $1 tier for newcomers (tell your friends!)

+ Simplifying the layout so that it just directs to the above tiers for additional perks.

+ Putting a heavier emphasis on sketch dumps for regular monthly content, instead of on the polls. It's difficult to keep consistent with the Influencer Poll...

May sketch dump

This month had a lot of interesting things going on. There's a lot of very rough "concept" sketches here, sometimes without dialogue or even any context. There were also a lot of experimental ideas over the month.

Some of the images also have a large amount of alternates, which I intend to do something about, but who knows?

And the winning roo is...

It was a close running this time, which is great! The backstories and takes on the original image were very creative.

MEWTWO HAS YOUR BACK!

 Here it is! The fully rendered and colored version of our first poll image here on the Patreon!

Originally it was going to give it clothes, and I tried several iterations. Nothing exactly felt right and they were mostly covering up anatomical details. I think this choice was for the best.

Feedback and comments are, of course, still much appreciated. I'll be posting this to FA over next week.

High-res and textless versions for the Art Hoard will be available soo...

Mewtwo Strikes (Your) Back! (wip)

As promised, here's an update of the current progress for the mewtwo image. I might have gone a little overzealous with the hand... we'll see as things progress.

April Sketch Dump

So... continuing on what seems a good tradition, here's this last month's dump of sketches. It's a pretty rough bunch this time (mostly UDTF), but it's also something to play with ideas. All of the sketches posted were worked on during this month.

The mewtwo pic is still ongoing, I haven't had a lot of time to paint it. I plan to post an update this weekend, so I can use this week to play some catch-up.

I also have another image in the pipeline that will need a poll soon;...

Mewtwo's Got Your Back! (wip updates)

Just wanted to share some updates on the Mewtwo pic. I decided I wanted to try a painterly style for this image, as a special thank you. Painting isn't necessarily my strongest suit, but I wanted to try to make this something nice.

Unfortunately, from the snapshots below, I kinda have a tendency to "overpaint", which... may have ruined this first pass...

It started nice with a nice baseline. (Arms are both still kinda todo)

March Sketch Dump

Things have been a bit slow this month for art because I've just been extremely overwhelmed with personal stuff (work, etc). As promised earlier, though, I don't want to leave you all empty handed.

The mewtwo vote pic is still underway and progressing, but I wouldn't say it's at a point where it's really presentable. However, I did have some time to make some sketches. The above is a refinement of an old sketch I did one night, but the others are new scraps that happened within this mon...

Mid-month updates

Hey folks!

So we reached mid-month of March! So far, I've been pretty busy working through commissions and work stuff. The mewtwo piece is still in progress and may take until April to get it to completion.

In the meantime, I might have to keep this month a little light. I'll be posting some scraps and sketches that I haven't posted elsewhere to keep the ball rolling, but I'm trying not to rely on old stuff.

For my Influencers, I have something general to ask abou...

So, earlier this month, I took an image that I'd just started sketching and I sent it to my Influencer tier for ideas and interpretations of what's going on.

Now it's time to vote! The options have been randomized and anonymized. The winning idea will get made real with real color (R, G, and B)! and the person will get credited for the idea!

I'm going to leave the poll open until March 1st (one week!)

Update - Influenced!

Hey folks. Just posting an update because I know it's been looking somewhat slow on this Patreon depending on what tier you're on. It's actually been a pretty busy roller coaster behind the scenes! I've got my first set of Influenced art waiting to poll. I'm just waiting for the okay from one more person.

If I don't hear back by tomorrow, I may just go ahead with the poll. I just can't wait to share what horrors we've done!

I've been busy trying to work out next steps for this Patreon since it's starting to grow and I'm starting to get an income stream.

I've thought through on what to do with tiers and this month is the time to announce! I've made two new tiers:

Art Hoarder and Collector $5

An additional tier between Supporters and Influencers. The main distinction is that alongside with sketches and access to polls, these users will...

Small changes to tiers...

Hey, I just wanted to give a heads up about tier changes. Hopefully, nothing major.

For now, I've cut the lowest tier ($1 supporter) because no one has signed up for it. I've also lowered the maximum number of people in the "Early Adopters" because I'm still figuring out what I want to do with it. Hopefully, those are minor changes, and I hope to have it all planned out at the start of the new year.

In case you aren't aware, Tumblr did an overzealous, incredibly unnecessary NSFW purge today. Both my blogs on there are gone.

Well, my blogs are "hidden", but so much so that I can't even access it! The whole page is completely inaccessible, including my avatar images!

Luckily, I managed to get an export of both my normal and scrap blogs and I'm happy to provide it to everyone here, absolutely free (public to everyone).

As promised, I plan to use this to share works in progress, so here is one that's currently in the pipeline. I wanted to at least start with something that is more to what people tend to expect from me (without yet going into extremes, but those are also there...)

I have a tendency to have a large number of things in the works, so don't be surprised if it takes quite a while before I finally get to a more final version of this piece.
