Shantae Wip

Went with a two part base edit with slight narrative elements- haven't made the edit yet but I couldn't wait to show off the lines I've already got! The Cintiq feels sooo much more like drawing on paper and I feel like I'm already remembering how much I actually like lining lol.

Back from vacay

It's January 2nd and I'm back to work again! Thanks for the patience folks!

I got a Cintiq tablet for Christmas and I'm way past excited to take it for a spin. Just working on the Shantae Pin Up that won the last character pin up already feels so much more natural with it! I look forward to learning how to use this new tool to the best of it's ability. o7

[Patrons' Pick] Midna Sequence

Sorry for the delay, here it is! Got a lot of good practice in with these guys, and I feel like you can almost see the shading job improve between part 1 and part 3. Let me know what you think of the soft shading- constructive critique is totally welcome~!

After much shading experimentation Midna is basically done- woo!

I'm beat for now, though, so I'll be sleeping on it before I give it a final look over to catch anything I may have missed.

Midna Shading Delays

Turns out Midna is hard to shade with her very high contrast color scheme. My normal cell shading style just wasn't looking right, so I switched to a more realistic soft shading style which I'm less experienced with. (I'm trying to be more flexible with my work to improve results)

After some initial troubles I think I've got something wonderful coming together, and I expect the sequence should be complete no later than tomorrow at the latest! Just wanted to give you guys a he...

I like Midna so much that it couldn't be contained to one piece, so we're going for a small sequence.
