I want to address an issue regarding the animations and some static renders in the lewd scenes as I mentioned in the release notes. Some of them look choppy and low resolution, I noticed it after it was all rendered.
I already fixed them and now everything is rendering correctly, as soon as itās all done I will release a patch to update the game. I will remember to double check everything before hitting the render button next time. Lesson learned!
As for Chapter 2, there are quite a few scenes already written, since I scrapped the āfree-roam/sandboxā idea I will have more time to work on the important things I have planned. Chapter 2 is about 50% bigger than Chapter 1 with quite a few branching scenes as well.
Now that almost all LIās are properly introduced their stories will really start unfolding, there is a lot going on.

Chapter 1:
- Fixed internal code variables;
- Fixed an issue that was preventing Julia to ignore the conversation between the MC and Keyla within a specific requirement;
- Fixed an issue that was preventing earning a relationship point with Julia at the park hangout scene. (This was only affecting those who were not already in Juliaās route and chose to kiss her, if you were already in her route there was no issue here).

Chapter 1
It has been a year since Kim returned to her home country, it is time to leave that emotional limbo you tucked yourself into, get out there and start living again.
A sudden break up of a long term relationship is filled with hardships and itās up to you to decide whether you want to get up and keep going or stay on the ground.
Meet new characters, interact with your friends and make life-changing choices in this new chapter of the story.
Features:
Branching choices
The choices you make can lead you to totally different paths giving you the opportunity to meet new and returning characters, earn relationship points and shape your personality;
Love Interests
In the prologue you had a brief introduction to some of the LIs, now is time to get to know and interact with them, earn relationship points and set the ground for their paths.
Returning characters
The characters you met in the Prologue are still around, and they have very important interactions to bring to the table.

Meet new characters, earn relationship points engaging with them and set the ground to their current and future paths.

New additions:
Characters Bios
Within the Gallery screen you will find the newly added āCharacters Biosā button. In this screen there is a brief description of each character you meet throughout the story along with their picture, name and special renders for some of them.
Music Player
Within the Gallery screen you will find the newly added button for the music player. In this screen you can play the musics available in the current version of the game.
The music player features a list of songs in which you can select them by name, fully functional controls with forward, backward, play, pause, shuffle and repeat buttons.
If the music currently playing has vocals the lyrics for it will also be available within the player.
You can navigate freely through the other menus of the game and the currently playing music will not stop if you leave the player screen.
Credits
In the Main Menu you can now find the āCreditsā button. Within this screen are all information regarding those involved in the development and testing of the game, credits for each music in the game with external links to the artistās page and Patrons names.
Special renders
As you play the game you will unlock more special renders, they will all be unlocked in their specific category within the Gallery.

Known issues:
Music player
- After entering the player screen you may not see anything, just select a music on the list to the left and the player will load (Not sure if this is a RenāPy or a code issue, will keep investigating);
- If you enter any scene replay while with a music playing the music wonāt stop.

Testing and proofreading is done!
Iām making some final adjustments for release and cleaning up the gameās code and unused files.
I will need a few more days to make sure everything is alright and if I didn't miss anything.
There will be more info for the Patrons release date and changes notes as soon as I have everything set.

Like most books and other types of media, I am naming each chapter of the game, Chapter 1ās name is "The World Goes Roundā¦"

Testing has been going smooth, we found a few issues and typos along the way, which are fixed now.
One thing that I changed in the Prologue and will not do for subsequent updates are the point-and-click part.
I removed that hot air balloon screen from the Prologue, the overall scene is still there, I only removed the screen where you have to click it and the scenes play, now they will play in a standard sequence like all others in the game.
Chapter 1 was going to have one of those too, similar to the so called āfree-roamā ones, but I decided to just make the actual scenes without the point-and-click.
This will help the flow of the story and since there are different ways to play through the game, having to go through these parts over and over would be annoying.
I finished posing all the animations for Chapter 1, now they are rendering non-stop. Itās going to take a while because there are a lot of them. But everything is pretty much done now! š
Meanwhile Iām editing the static renders.

I took this week to polish the game and fix some smaller issues. The current build of the game is fully playable now.
I sent the testers the current build of the game for testing and proofreading now.
This is basically a āclosed Alfaā test phase. I will also thoroughly test it myself to make sure every branch and choices are working as intended.
What is left to do now? - Now I just need to continue rendering and polishing the NSFW animations and the special images for the gallery and thatās it!
Just details left to get done now!

Posing the animations has been going smooth. I finished three different SFW cutscenes just now, two of them were somewhat tricky to get right, itās hard to make a kiss pose to fit well, but I like how they turned out. The other one is composed by different angles and poses which will ultimately turn into one longer sequence.
I am working on the galleryās special renders and the audio on the side, but for now the focus is to finish the animations.
Itās hard to have an exact number, but since all the rough work is done and all that is left are the animations, I would say the overall content for the Chapter 1 update is about 95% done. I am certain for an Alfa build early next month!

Today I finished posing the very last remaining static renders for Chapter 1 and they will be rendering over the weekend.
Now I am setting up the scenarios to start posing the animations, they are already in place as I have already done the static parts of those scenes, but to render a static image is fairly different than rendering a sequence of them to turn into an animation later on. One single image can take about 10 minutes to fully render (in my average computer), now imagine an animation which can be around 120 images or so, Chapter 1 will only come out next year this way. š
So now I need to optimize as much as possible the overall scenario, as well as the apropriate settings for the animation itself.
There are more animated cutscenes in Chapter 1 than there was in the Prologue and also much more lewd ones. I learned some things since I made the Prologue, so they should look more natural and nice this time around.

Itās been three months since I started working on Chapter 1, since then I made new features for the game client (Characterās Bios and Music Player) as well as the story expansion itself.
The next update is nearing itās final phase, Iām really happy with how much I was able to make during this time, juggling between my full-time job and the gameās development is a totally new experience for me.
I am now in what I can call the final stretch, been working extra on posing the scenes and revising the content each day, rendering them is unfortunately almost out of my hands since all I can do is try to optimize them as much as I can so they donāt take too long to render.
While the scenes are rendering Iām doing some smaller things like working on the UI and getting more musics selected.

Hereās a peek on one new character coming in the next chapter, just because... :P

This week was a whole lot of posing, rendering and putting all the written scenes into RenāPy.
There are many different paths and branching choices in the scenes which require a bit more attention when I put them into the game.
As I write them in a Word document I already do it in the format that RenāPy uses in the code, this way itās much faster to get the scene working when I transfer it. But sometimes I may skip a thing or two, so itās always worth the double check.
Now itās all about posing the scenes and filling up the render queue, there are no more new additions to code as everything I had planned is now done, so doing the visual side of things it gonna be the focus for this final stretch for this update.

There are still quite a bit to pose and render, so I canāt really determine when I will finish. All I have for now is a rough speculation. Still, is exciting to know that this is all there is left to get done.

Iād like to start this log by saying that the writing for chapter 1 is now 100% done, all that is left to do is pose and render the scenes, we are almost there!
Secondly, I want to show you the remaining feature outside of the story itself that I have been working on, the Music Player.
This is a fairly simple player in which you can find all the musics included in the current version of game and play them while you navigate through the menus or even leave the player on as you do something else.

The player has the musics list on the left side, in the middle is the player controls and on the right side, if the music currently playing has vocals the lyrics for it will be shown in there.
I organized the tracks to have the musics with vocals on top of the list by default, but you can use the button to organize them alphabetically if you want, there is also a button for repeating the currently playing song and shuffle, along with the standard backward, forward and play/pause. You can also set the volume or mute and use the progress bar to advance or rewind the song.
The music will keep playing even if you leave the player screen so you can keep listening to it while you navigate through the other content, it will stop if you start a new game or load a save, of course.
I think this is a cool addition to the game client and in future updates as I add more musics it will be much easier to have them there as well.

Every time that I finish something in the game I feel more excited not only because itās one more step towards the release, but also because itās usually something that Iām happy and proud of.
This week was another one of those, I finished a HUGE scene, plot-wise and in size. It has two fully animated CGs and a couple hundreds of static renders. I went an extra step to also put this sceneās musics in the game already and the feels really kicked in while playing it.
Aside from this scene I finished two others as well, these branch into different paths, those which will require a second playthrough (or saving before choosing it) to fully experience them. Iām making sure they actually work as I intended.
I will use the weekend to play the current build as I add the musics and also try to finish some of the current code for a new feature within the Gallery.
This is really exciting, things are moving forward nicely!

Hello, everyone!
I had mentioned in a previous development log that I was making some additions to the Gallery. Last week I had finished coding this one, but since I didnāt have any art made for it yet, I couldnāt show anything. But now it is ready!
This is the Characters Bios screen.
The purpose of it is so you can have a brief introduction to a character and you can always go back to it for a reference.

I moved some of the images that were within the Images gallery to the characterās sheet and added new ones as well. These renders will be unlocked by default, no need to do any special action within the story.

This is not a self updating character sheet, it is meant only for you to know who is who. A self updating one may come in the future, as I still have an idea of an in-game phone.
Also to avoid spoilers, the characters within this screen will only be unlocked after you are properly introduced to them within the story, until then they will remain locked.
This is how the screen will look once you load your previous Prologue save:

The Characters Bios screen is coming with the Chapter 1 update and more characters will be added to it as new updates are released.

There was a lot of coding done this week, I focused on the choices within scenes and the varieties of paths they branch into. All scenes that I had fully written until now are in the game, I just need to keep doing the āvisualā part for them.
While working on the code I added an option to skip the Prologue if you already played it, this will ease the replayability in case you want to try a different path, a specific combination of choices or even a single LI playthrough. This way you wonāt need to play the prologue over and over each time.
I wanted to finish all the coding I had started last weekend within this week, now Iāll get back to the usual posing during week days and then leave them rendering on the weekend while I work on other things.

This week I continued on posing and rendering, while the scenes were rendering I went back to writing more scenes. Itās hard to pinpoint how much more there is to write as I still have some sketched scenes as well as other ideas I made notes for, but on the writing part I feel like Iām almost done.
I started looking into more musics too, Chapter 1 will have a lot more content with new characters and different types of interactions, the musics should play the part. This will most likely be a process to extend throughout the development. I will probably have to refer to services like Artlist and Premium Beat eventually because finding good Creative Commons musics is hard, especially those that fit the game itself.
The many scenes that I have already finished are fully playable and I can already test them to see how they feel and catch any issues and such. Exciting progress!!!

I focused a lot more on posing scenes this week, as of today there are a total of 407 images on the render queue, I didnāt leave them rendering this time due to some things I had to do on the PC so they accumulated. Either way, they will be rendering non-stop over the weekend.
The fact that Iām being able to maintain my planned schedule is leaving me quite confident for the weeks to come, posing and rendering is probably the part that takes the longest to work on, everything else is a little bit faster to get done.
Speaking of which, I went back to the Prologue content this week to do some quality of life changes such as scene transitions, add content to Kimās lewd scene and a quick tutorial to the point-and-click session.
There is a new feature to the point-and-click minigame coming with Chapter 1, this should have been in the Prologue already, but due to a small coding issue (which I now solved) it had to be postponed. This will also be in subsequent point-and-click minigames coming in other updates.
Donāt worry, none of these changes will affect your current saves and if you want to go back to check them out you will be able to use the replay feature.
I will keep trying to bring an in-game preview every other week, but I feel like itās getting harder to bring any spoiler free ones.

This weekās work was pretty much posing during the day and leaving the computer rendering overnight. There are already a few hundreds of static renders done and some more ready to render in queue.
I also wrote more scenes and finished others that were sketched out or incomplete, for now I am using placeholders while testing the code as I keep rendering the images, then I just put them where they need to go when ready.
Itās been almost a month since the Prologue's release and the progress on Chapter 1 is going according to plan thankfully. At this pace, hopefully we will have a solid release earlier than expected!

This week was all about posing, rendering and coding.
The scenes are much more consistent now, Iām taking some extra steps before putting the text into actual RenāPy code this time, there are A LOT of scenes in Chapter 1, so the less typos and mistakes to fix the better.
Posing everything takes longer than it feels but not gonna lie, itās probably one of the most fun parts, maybe thatās why I donāt see time pass while doing them.
Although I still use some environments as they are, Iām also creating the majority of them from scratch as well as modifying some so they are more unique, it takes time, but the result is worth it!
There is a new feature coming to the Gallery screen, I started coding it this week, but itās still in very early stages I will share more info on it soon.
All Patrons now have your names in the gameās credits!
You are a part of this project as much as I am, independent of tier or if you decide to move on, your support matters and your name will be in the game forever!
