Chapter 3 - Escape Cardio

“Jie Tong, y-you—” Yu Han stuttered as the other boy sprung forward, holding the blade at waist level and stabbing upwards.

The blade rose with a silver flash. Before it could pierce Yu Han’s jaw, he leapt back by sheer instinct. His fat body should not have had such agility, and Yu Han barely kept his balance as the sand shifted.

Jie Tong stabbed again from above. This time it hit, cutting into Yu Han’s nose. Yu Han screamed, shoving Jie Tong away like a sumo-wres...

Chapter 2 - Fat Fury

The carriage exploded with a bone-rattling sneeze, and the creature’s head flung back inside.

“Come on! Work, damn it!”

The flames danced mockingly, licking the carriage without effect. The creature’s thrashing reached a mad crescendo, and the splintering cracks of wood hammered Yu Han’s heart like a ticking time bomb.

The carriage wasn’t meant to imprison monstrous dogs with endless stamina. The thing would break out, and when it did, Yu Han was going to b...

Chapter 1 - Death Is a Dog

The boy’s corpse slammed against the carriage wheel. And in that lifeless body, Johan snapped awake.

A hooded figure loomed six feet away. With a sickening squelch, he wrenched a spear from the remains of a woman.

Inside the carriage, the wails of an infant cut off abruptly, replaced by the wet, meaty sounds of tearing flesh.

Unpublished $5 and life update

Work is underway to restructure the Patreon page. I have got back the FULL edited ePub from my first story, "Adagio of the Enlightened" and the first 25k words from Dao of the Web.

Also, I finished writing the first 3 chapters of the new story. Temporary title is: "Deep Cultivation: A Data Driven Progression System"

I will post the chapters here before publishing on Royalroad! So look forward to it.

I deleted the $5 tier, and I had made the ePub for Dao of the Web available...

Billing paused

Life has taken over again, and I have started an internship to complete my university requirements. The first few weeks will be tough. I have paused billing for the month (until July 10th) as I might not be able to write as much.

A few updates:

1. I had to change editors for book 1 of Dao of the web. Fiverr is weird, but at least i got the refund fully. The editing process will still continue, but a bit later in June.

2. I will continue writing Book 3 of Dao of the Web throu...

The radio exploded the moment Yung connected it to his Communicator. He shrieked, lunging backwards.

The hot air hit his face like pressurized steam, and the scrap from the blasted artefact followed close behind.

Yung’s eyes narrowed, blood thumping in his ears. He saw the shrapnel inching closer in the slowed down time.

The bangle on his arm lit up ...

By the time Yung reached the entrance to the Dim Gold Citadel, Lord Thunderboom was hauling almost seventeen carts of various sizes filled with bandaged evildoers. As the mule-like chaosfiend tapped on its hooves on the cobblestone road one step at a time, sounds of groans and moans rose from behind the carts. Many of the 'mummies' had regained consciousness. The magical he...

For a moment, Yung was stumped at the short man’s words. From their conversation, it wasn’t an impossibility that a bystander would conclude that, however you framed it, it really seemed like mortals weren’t worth punishing.

“That’s nonsense. Every life is worth equal consideration from the heavens. After all, the reason why the heavens punish the cul...

The cat girl had jet-black hair, the bangs of which rustled in the wind in front of her white feline pupils set upon blue irises. One of her tails was cloud white, while the other was just as black as her hair, as were her black, furry ears that were fluffy, pierced with wooden rings. On her black tail, there was a white thread ribbon tied into a butterfly, and on he...

Yung had lain a trap.

However, he must admit that the current outcome was a bust. Oh, i...

Chapter 116 - Land God

The ‘official’ punishment ended up being a fine of one Ironcast Spirit Stones and ten floggings each.

The actual punishment should have been prison time for at least two years. Maybe if the criminals were mortals, that would have been the case. In which, ‘locked up’ would be forced labour in a mine or labouring in the forest.
