Hello everyone! For the 1st map of September here is Forest Roads. Just some roads crossing a autumn themed forest, one of them surely leads to a Druid Camp, right? I was surprised to see I've made that map almost an year ago, it still is one of my favorites! This map is inspired by it but in a more classic top-down perspective. I tried to make a lot of features for a fun combat encounter: the narrow bri...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of August here is Rocky Hills Trail. After working with a lot of lines in the previous map, I needed to make a refreshing painterly map! 😅 - Not much to talk about this one other than it is always really nice to draw nature, I like the vibes of a low level group of adventurers hiking this countryside trail beginning their first quest!
I hope this map inspires you! As always, thank you so much for your support! :)

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of August here is Astral Forge. I attempted something different with this one which is, simply put, having a more consistent line art; that led to the possibility of making some major changes with the variations because of how the layers are organized, the style, and the time spent on the base map. Did it work? I think so! It works nicely for dungeon maps and such and I'll use it again as it allows me to make more dramatic variations, but I'm not switching to t...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of July here is Light In The Dark. This map is versatile to be a desert, another plane, inside a cavern or a muddy swamp; but in any of these options the intent is for it to be a "last stand" kind of encounter, as the darkness surrounds the party and monsters appear from every corner, some kind of light illuminates this central rock formation, but what is the source of it? Does it seem to be the sun cutting through the dark clouds above? Is it a luminous crysta...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of July here is Ruined Fortress. This was one of those maps where I spent a lot of time figuring out what to do, the initial plan didn't even include ruins, but when I landed on this final idea I knew I wanted to have a variation of a "bandit camp" on top of the fortress, so I did that!
Recently I've been taking some time to practice other art subjects such as characters and landscapes/environment art, it has been great seeing the improvement, though some...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of June here is the Well of Storms. Initially I intended this place to be a cloud or storm giant's floating island, which is also why the grid size fits a giant walking around - but as I painted it I also wanted to give it Plane of Air or storm-deity vibes, I hope it inspires you with a cool idea for it!
The "portal" and "storm" variations of the map can also be used as a phased battlemap, as the base map is the brewing storm that leads to the portal's cr...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of June here is Shrine of Golden Leaves, I recently had in my campaign an order of knights that carried a golden leaf from a sacred tree, that leaf would always shine as long as a knight's virtues stayed true; and that was the inspiration for this map! But it definitely can also be a druid sanctuary, a Feywild location or an Elven forest.
I'm posting very late this month but I'll still post a 2nd map before July! That's because I was working on a map for...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of May here is Fallen Beast. Was this creature a fallen wild god or perhaps a demon? I wanted to leave that unclear so this map is useful in multiple kinds of campaigns and encounters, either way the stone platform provides a good "stage" for a caster boss to stand on throwing fireballs - Though it is a small map, so keep in mind most characters won't have trouble reaching a boss like that if there are not minions protecting their leader. Beneath the stone that...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of May here is Strings of Fate. As you know, I mostly make natural landscapes for maps, sometimes they don't even have any fantasy elements, but for this one I went full turbo high fantasy - And it was really fun to make! I wouldn't mind making more like it in the future, coming up with the concept and picking the color scheme was very enjoyable (a lot of color combinations looked pretty cool so it was also kind of hard to pick :P).
The main insp...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of April here is Highlands. Got inspired by some photos of Iceland with beautiful vibrant colors and interesting shaped... rivers? Honestly I'm not sure if they are called rivers, but they certainly look cool. :P
I think monsters that don't have a hard time in the water can benefit a lot in this map, so it should be an interesting encounter where they use this terrain to their advantage; the rocks can also be used as cover, but only if prone since they ar...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of April here is Mountain Ruins; this one was very experimental, similar to Cloudy Peaks in a way, a rocky mountainous terrain, visible mountain crests and an impression of height. - The ruins could be of a long gone small fortress, watchtower or temple, perhaps it is haunted by ghosts of its past, or maybe it is simply a safe place used as shelter in windy nights.

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of March here is Muddy Marsh. I wanted to make a map that focused on mud being the biggest obstacle, so here is a map full of it! I think it can be an interesting encounter with not only difficult terrain but also requiring a few checks for a character to assume if it is safe to step forward or not, maybe the enemies are used to this kind of terrain, or maybe they will need to make checks as well!
I hope you like this map, thank you so much for your suppo...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of March here is Night Temple. I think this was the most challenging map I've made to this day! There was a lot of trial and error especially with the color and values, but also with the statue and water reflections. The initial idea started with the art on the walls, which included the elven figure as part of it rather than a statue, it was also a much more complex wall art including clouds, mountains and vegetation, but I quickly realized it was a bit too...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of February here is Lake Shore Path! This map is the first one I made on my new display drawing tablet, for all these years I've been using a simple pen tablet, so as a birthday gift I decided to take the leap and upgrade, it has been a lot of fun! Though I still need to get a bit used to a few things!
As for the map itself, I tried using a few different colors than what I usually go to, like the orange tone on the trees and greenish rocks, I also g...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of February here are some snowy rocky mountains! I wanted to make something like a trail to a mountain top but also not very linear, so there are multiple paths the party could take leading to different areas; for Hero of the Realm tier patrons, there is a variation including flowing banners showing the way to... well, anything you want that fits your adventure!
I hope you enjoy this map, thank you so much for your support! :)

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of January here is Wizard's Expedition. Back with a classic top-down perspective map, I remember having a lot of fun with my other caravan map so I decided to make another one! And it was a great decision, I really enjoyed designing the carts and little details around the camp; I wanted to give this one a more specific theme so I went with a wizard's expedition into a forest,...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of January here is Stone of Swords! Kept remaking the layout of the lower half of the map to make it more interesting for gameplay and still visually appealing, but I think it paid off in the end with a cool design.
I imagine this place being a memorial to fallen knights or monarchs in a lake's shore, but it also could be a shrine for a deity or a meeting spot for neighboring kingdoms. I hope it inspires you to create a story for it!

Hello everyone! For the final map of the year, here is Molten Cave! This map has a few more variations than usual for Hero of the Realm patrons as I added a purple and a green version of each combination instead of the usual day and night of other maps. There was a lot of experiments with this one particularly with the cave rock walls/pillars, I think it ended up looking pretty cool!

Hello everyone! for the 1st map of December here is Coastal Cliffs! Painting all these rocks took a long time, but it was fun! I wish I had more time to make some variation with a house near the edge of the cliff, but I'm already posting this map very late as this month has been a busy one, maybe I can use that idea for a future release!

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of November here is Old Tree's Bog! I wanted to make this a kind of eerie and mysterious place: an old tree deep in the bog's bluish fog, lonely, surrounded by mud; I think it worked! This could be a sacred place to a nearby village, a passage to another plane or perhaps a fey spirit resides the tree; and the Hero of the Realm variations double down on these ideas.
I hope you like it! Thank you so much for your support! :)

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of November here is Ranger's Lodge! I wanted to make this map for a long time, a simple theme of a guild hall or headquarters for a ranger's group, but one I really like! In the first sketches I envisioned it very differently in a lot more fantastical style, with trees being part of the building itself, having uneven room sizes, making everything feel a bit more natural; but after some sketching it wasn't really looking quite right for the kind of rangers I had...

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of October here is Mountain Fortress! I'm enjoying going back a little bit to these not completely top-down perspectives, as you can see in the recent Druid Camp and Bridge To The Woods maps. It is very enjoyable to be able to jump between these styles from time to time as I think they offer different possibilities of maps to be made, some are much more tactical for combat encounters while others carry a lot of storytelling through their scene...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of October here is Druid Camp! I had a lot of fun drawing this one, scattering objects around to tell a bit of a story and making this painterly background with fun orange tones was great. I think it would be a nice place for a druid circle's celebration near a shrine or a ranger's conclave camping spot.

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of September here is the Sun Shrine! I wanted to make something different in kind of like a desolate terrain, this place could be an old ruined temple or have a secret entrance to the underground, and it may be related to either an attempt to save the lifeless surroundings or what killed it in the first place. I hope it sparks ideias in your imagination! :)
As always thank you so much for your support! It means a lot. Enjoy!

Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of August here is Forest Tomb. It has been a while since I made a forest and that is a theme I like a lot, so I'm happy about this one! I tried to give it a different look than what I usually go for with forests with a shorter and smoother grass, maybe this place has a bit more of human interference from folks of a nearby village. Hello everyone! For the 2nd map of July here is Lonely Hut! - I guess I was in the mood for drawing cozy houses in remote places this month. As I mentioned in the last post I had a short time to work with this map so you may notice some of reused assets from other maps in this one, I was worried because I didn't want to deliver a unfinished-looking map but also didn't want it to look like a cheap copy paste, however in the end I think I was able to transform it into something different and un...

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of July here is Snow Cabin!
