Backside illuminated.

The sensor in my last camera, the Leica SL2s, is a backside illuminated technology unit, and should be particularly capable in low light situations, where you are compelled to use high ISO settings.
So in the last shooting with Cristiana I did a torture test for the Leica and tried this picture at 12,500 ISO, with no noise reduction applied.
Also the SL2s can't do miracles, and the quality of the picture is not impressive, but it is still way better than what I could get with the old Le...

Great tattoos.

The body of Stella is a work of art, for the way she finely tuned every muscle, and for the way she decorated her skin with high quality tattoos.
You need good taste to ink your body so much, and Stelladiplastica must have it.
I think she has the best and most coherent collection of tattoos than any other model I worked with.

Rangefinder magic.

In the third shooting with Martina we changed the location near Como to go in Brescia.
This morning spent with Martina was one of my favourite shooting with her, and we managed to collect some pretty wonderful pictures.
This was taken with the trusty Leica M240 with the 50mm Summicron lens.
I know my style has evolved since these good old days, but give me this girl and this camera in any moment, and I'm going to make something very special!
We 3 are a good and trained team.

Rock your couch.

This couch is of a very boring color, but it is useful to make Slim's tattooed skin stand out even more.
And with a model like her on it, the whole house is going to rock and roll.
I'm glad I had the chance to work with her, it was because of a last minute  substitution, but I landed on my feet this time!

Handcuffs.

Linda was looking in the mirror how the handcuffs looked on her, I guess not many girls would know, because they are not likely to wear them in an ordinary life.
It is all right if the model is looking away, for me, because it is like if she is alone in the house, with no photographer around...
Also, the model looking in a mirror is more likely to drop her defenses and show her true character.

You never forget the first time.

A Friend of mine was looking through my Archives some days ago, and he was astonished about how many amazing shot I managed to make during the first shooting with Martina in February 2018.
And I think he is right, notwithstanding she had a fever, we really managed to make a great job.
This is just one of the numerous corner of the huge house we shoot in, not sure I've ever published other pictures of Martina on this stairs ever before, surely not this one... possibly you are missing so ...

Do you recognise this model?

I worked with many girls in this location in Merate, so that might not be very helpful.
I wonder if someone will be able to get her name right just from her back...
I will not put the hashtag, for the moment, otherwise it is going to be too easy! 😉

Through the bathroom mirror.

I'm not a great fan of shooting through mirrors, because this damages the quality of my special lenses but, in this case, it didn't make any apparent damage, and the quality of the picture is still very good indeed.

On the other hand, using a mirror is useful in expanding the room behind the model.
Maybe I have to reconsider my dislike for mirrors.

Casually posing.

When I ask Martina to "climb on a chair", she really understand what I'm asking from her.
Shadows and fur are creating a natural censorship that should make this picture suitable for Patreon.

Martina is capable of making any position plausible, casual, possibly even natural, however it was far fetched, and this is a great weapon for my kind of photographic project.

Owning it.

There are few things more cute than a young lady owning a bed.
The confidence Cristiana is showing on this bed is moving, particularly because she is completely naked.
It is not just sexuality, but it is more about the freedom and the joy of feeling comfortable in our bodies.
Maybe Cristiana is not one of the hottest model in my Archives, but she definitely is one of the most charming and enthusiast when nude, and her presence in this photo is setting the sheets on fire!

Pro model.

Demi knows her body, and she must think there is one defect about it.
Somehow her relaxed nipples tend to disappear inside the areola.
After many years of modelling she developed this technique to stimulate the nipples and keep them erect and visible at all times, by pinch them between photos.

There is nothing sexual about it, it is just a technical way to make the breast look more appealing, but from the outside it appears like a lovely nervous tic.

Getting old.

Just finished retouching Bianca's shooting and I'm now storing it away in Bramley Apple Archives.
Now the final pictures are safe and sound in multiple locations, like the raw files.

I'm back working on the 2 shootings still lingering in Lightroom, Cristiana's 4th time and Stella.

About the shooting with Cristiana, I've noticed a high percentage of out of focus images, that I'm ditching, obviously.
I think this is down to my eyesight, that is not perfect any more.

The Leica look.

The maintenance on my Patreon profile required a long time and delayed my retouching work on Bianca's shooting and all the others I'm left with.

New year resolutions.

My first resolution for 2022 is to start working again with Martina as soon as possible!

I need more space - part 2 of 2

I like to use longer focal length because they provide something like an abstract elevation image of a building. But to take in all of my subject, especially a full figure, I need plenty of space between me and the model.
And, if I want a proper separation of my subject from the blurred background, I also need plenty of space between the model and whatever is behind her.
