She accepted the exposure level of my public pictures, and we are planning a shooting between July and August.

About yesterday's topic, I wanted to apply this parameter to Martina, my favourite model of all time, to try and understand where she is positioned in this classification.
She surely knows how to manage big spaces and she owns any kind of composition within the frame, but she is not exactly filling the physical space in real life as Stella, Miele and Manya seem to do.

Nearly all the first shooting with Katya was done on July 2017 was shot on the Leica M240 with the 50mm Summicron.
This is still one of the best pieces of gear I ever worked with, even if lately I decided to explore more "focused" cameras and longer lenses.
Although it is a good thing to evolve and progress in our passions, when I get back to these first pictures with the Leica M I'm amazed how pure and balanced they look.
I would say my evolution was not a vertical progression towar...
I must have met Martina during one of the best moments in her life.

I'm not against poses where the sensitive parts of the model's body are covered, as long as the picture feels natural and not purposefully created as a mean of censoring the image... and as long as only few percentage of pictures are like that!
In this case the pose feels genuine, and I like it even if it is not particularly revealing.
Also the messy hair is not a problem for me, because it helps to make the photo even more casual.
We live in a world full of restrictions, as a consequence we are afraid of everything. The nanny state is trying to keep us safe in every aspect of our lives, and every corporation or small business is trying to cover its ass by introducing bans of every kind, and this is limiting our freedom. In this particular case, the suggestion may be understandable, but limitations always feel uncomfortable, particularly to young and reckless rebels like Puffa.
Corine is not a supermodel, but just a normal girl; and this is not a glamour pose, just a pensive attitude in an unlikely spot of the house; nevertheless she looks beautiful and the composition is balanced (even better in BW).
This is the magic of photography, you can maximise the beauty of a girl and make create an everlasting memory.
It was pretty easy to choose today's picture of Martina: I selected the shooting, I clicked on a casual picture to see the preview, and that was it, no need to search any further!
This girl can transform the most casual picture in a masterpiece, without standing on her toes or sucking in her tummy.
That is exactly the careless appearance I want from her, and she never disappoints!
That's why you can choose a random picture and still end up with a winner.
This picture might be the first of a serie of 3, but I didn't think about asking Jiulia to close also the eyes and the mouth in the next frames... might be a good idea for the future.
Most of the times my shootings are pretty serious, as you can tell from the backstage videos, actually you can't in this case because I was soo concentrated on the new model I forgot to take the backstage videos until much later.
Martina looking out of this tiny window is never going to get as lucky as us watching her from the inside!
She always find new gracious and elegant ways to show us her body, with no trace of shyness or false modesty.
Cara is a girl with generous proportions, but she is not particularly high, surely not enough to reach the ceiling unaided.
What you don't see in this photo is the table she is standing on...
I love to change my point of view and try different angles to display these beautiful creatures.
Marble looks very stylish in a bathroom, but it is cold and detached.
Whilst the skin of Coralin looks nice and warm, welcoming.
So, even if your house is elegant and rich, it is never truly complete until you can fit the right girl in it.
I have worked in some pretty poor locations with Martina, and this was one of the worst for sure!
But this does not mean she is less beautiful in these pictures!
By looking at the photos you may even ignore the difficulties I had during the shooting, and still enjoy Martina in a new prespective.
The web finally realised that size is an issue.
Hosting huge files (photo or video), can become an issue in the future.
Most social media are cutting down on the file sizes allowed (VK is down to 2 GB videos files now and I have to lower the quality of my backstage videos to upload them).
Obviously paid hosting services are available, but the cost is quite high.
For my website I have decided to try embedding the videos from a different source, hoping to keep the website lighter...

My work has developed a lot in the past 5 years, but not necessarily in the right direction.
When you start to grow a community around a project, you inevitably end up been conditioned by the process, and I can identify 2 main distractions:
Many people are trying to put Martina in a bad light, mainly other models that are envious of her success but, whatever they say, I'm still going to think she is my favourite model.
Regardless of the light you decide to shine on her, she still looks glorious and fabulous to me, a girl that decided to make a living out of her beauty.
Probably she is the only one that is taking this work seriously and from a business prospective.

Movies and stills are two very different worlds.
One of the major difference is in movies you are recommended NEVER to look in camera, whilst in photography it is the best way to create a connection with the onlooker.
I like to mix and match best practices from both media, depending on the mood I want to get.

It is rare for me to leave behind a shooting with Martina, but our 14th shooting is still in the retouching phase, like many others.
