A Bigger Plan For A Bigger Machine

so yes. its time to top the mega drone. so just figuring out the options of making this possible. Components trying to find a none replenished source, ie a box thats been sitting there for yonks, but im aware this may not be realistic, so im open to ideas if anyone has any. the biggest decider on how this will work and look is the choice of what potentiometers and what switches to use. that will need to be decided and figured out before we can take it to the next step.

Bruel & Kjaer 1022 Motorized Samples

so I have started to motorise it, I stupidly enough thought that a 1-1 gear ratio would cut the mustard on this project but the sad fact is the stepper motor just has not got it in it. so im going up to a bigger gear, but for the video on these this will be a little peak at what's to come at the end. next job is to get a better gear ratio,1-3 maybe to speed up the response and take it from there! enjoy the police siren samples haha

so in the next few days ill be doing a video talking about the bruel & kjaer plan, finally its time to get this project up and running, after laying dormant since beginning the museum project. the plan is to make a setup that is both safe and useable. with a patch bay/mixer/vca's/envgenerators and modifications to the bruels to make them useable and not dangerous. and all in all actually work which a lot of them.... don't haha. on the builders livestream today we also touched on the machines in this weekends video. it is these crazy machines, that communicate using the Baudot Code an old school 5 bit code usedforthings like teletypes amongst other things. in order to inspect the waveform that runs at a baud rate of 45.5bps I popped the microphone on it and ran through the alphabet.

Builders Livestream Scheduled tonight 7pm BST

right we are back on builders livestreams, these next few ones should culminate in a final project in the next month of a machine that should roughly simulate church bells.

Hello August! Museum update and Teletubbie time

So yep this month, hopefully plenty of stuff just knocking through quite the backlog of projects but getting there. this week beginning to put together Teletubbies tidal wave and hopefully find some time to setup for some livestreams making bell synths mainly focussed around the lm13700.
