High Fibre Diet From Outer Space

25 mins of the soundlab ultimate talking to itself. been putting together the video on this thing. a few chunks of sound to make it do for it. trying to make it do as much random generative things as i could think of with just what was on the soundlab ultimate and expander module. sounds pretty nice! im sure there is more but with 2 fixed LFO's, 3 VCO's, 2 Envelope Generators, a free VCA, 2 Filters and a handful of other bits. this farty number is what i got out.

so its coming together, still waiting for a chip for the audio multiplier but everything else is ticking along. working on the video at the minute including audio from ramonds actual synths over at synthcube. all in all the soundlab ultimate is a great synth. for a DIY synth project it is one of the best synth voices imo, the panel wiring is torturous though, set aside about 8 hours to do both the soundlab and expander wiring from circuit board to panel components. but when thats done it shou...

so the MFOS is taking a tiny bit longer than expected (typical!!!) lots of panel wiring, im sure if you skipped through the last livestream of 6 hours of me panel wiring slowly noticing the energy draining within haha. its all wired in now. but need to give it a clean up then get editing on the actual video! its a big one.

MFOS soundlab ultimate first test sounds and sample

first time trying out all the bits, so far only thing not working is the envelope generator trigger mode! heres some sounds :). this evenings job wire in the expander module. underestimated how long the panel wiring will take. so suitably behind for this video being out in a timely manner :D

Fleshing out a synth voice idea

ultimately a long old blab about an idea i have as ill develop a mono synth voice for the swtpc but will be multi useable and spur on a couple of modules too

having decided this next few days after finally populating the mfos ultimate boards ill be doing a panel wiring livestream and test livestream for the next video which will also be touching on MFOS and raymond wilson.

Electromechanical BlinkenLights Sounds

Here is a machine i put together this morning playing for about 10 minutes, and a wav file download below, be it to sound like its raining on your conservatory haha or to add sound effects of little robot horses trotting somewhere. listen to how they all go in and out of phase with each other. 

This is the first part of a project, the next being to build 20 small analog synthesizers which are triggered by it like tuned popcorn, the circuit i have in mind for these small synths only...

secret santa is coming up so i decided to make something from flip dots to become acquainted with them. also talking about the plan for the big screen and maybe using the existing circuitry but removing the binary counters.

Parts collected for next big one

Went to go pick this stuff up today as if I didn't they would have been chucked!! Mad. Lovely guy called Andrew had kept them from the skip at his old job but needed rid as they dominated his living room. I explain the project idea and will be focussing on it after the next big push on the organ console and get a good chunk of the obsolete sound lab done. Hopefully at a point in jan.
