5YL UPDATE #37 - How did we handle the Fan Aliens?

So we set aside Ben and Kevin's little portion of the battle for whatever the fan alien might be doing. I left 5 pages open between Danny and Vlad's moment, and Planet Buster's debut. 

When we decided to use all three, we set up this board, and sat in a call for a few hours plotting out how this would work. We ended up so pressed for time that I finished Chapter 8 literally minutes before uploading.

This is from way back in the day (about a year and a half ago), while we were still in the early stages of planning Chapter 8. The idea evolved a lot since then.

Here's a list of differences:

1. We decided that every Alternate Ben turns into a fusion, not just this one.

2. They are fusions due to being infected with Nan...

Honestly, quite a lot.

There's tons of little behind-the-scenes stories, drawings, and production art I've been dying to share for nearly a year. KurotheWebsite.com will indeed have a lot of Concept Art uploaded to it, but there are still tons of special things I've been saving just to show the Patrons after Chapter 8 comes...

I made the switch from the Traditional-to-Vector Method to a 100% Digital Method during Chapter 8's production. So Chapter 8 actually has two distinct Art Shifts - one from Chapters 7 to 8, and another from the earlier to later pages of Chapter 8. It's not super noticeable unless you look for it, but the 100% Digital pages have a more rounded feel ...

The 5YL Timeline so far (Ch1 through Ch7) is only about three-or-four days. Originally, it was going to be much longer. There were much more character-building scenes like from Chapters 2, 5, and 7, but as this is a webcomic and not an animated program, reading all of that would've made it drag on way too long.
