I didn't mean to be working today, but i ended up spending a few hours on it. Specifically the pair of fox friends at the bottom. I went through tons of iterating, changing the silhouette, changing the colors, etc, and at the end of it, this is what i came up with
A cherry red fox that snaps its tail and becomes a torch, and a super soft snowcone fox that gets its nose stuck to poles.
I haven't tallied the poll up, but regardless of the choice there, i wasn't happy with "Ice Fox" ...

Personally, i'm fine with frozunny being the new ice-butt that's going out with a cool deer guy, but i figure i have polls and i might as well use them~

Well, it was pretty expected based on the raw vote count, but the vote weight made this one incredibly one sided!
I'm planning on getting this out today. I saw the doctor, who said since my wrist pain gets better when i let it rest that things in there are most likely not permanently damaged. Hey! I worked on this last night, and today, and got this far. about 40 minutes per page, which isn't bad considering i'm grabbing background shots for final cams later, and lettering the whole thing!
As always, i've lettered the thumbnails, but they're so small they're not really readable. when i've got the whole thing together and blown up into final size docs, it'll just expand and be clear.

I've been working nonstop to get things ready to roll, and we're finally there.
The script is ready to draw from, the unused art from the old comic has been put to new use! The new comic is, at the moment, 26 pages long. 3 more than before, and with less time spent in the setup phase, as well.

Evening, everyone! I've been working nonstop to get comic production back up, and now that things are mostly settled, i wanted to let you all know what's going on with the comic.
So, my original plan was to literally just redo the 8 pages that existed of Ch3, with the new characters, but ultimately that seems like a poor use of time. It would be boring to readers, because they've already seen that scene before, and it'd be more delay to get to the juicier bits.

Alright! I was originally not going to do any toning on these, because the designs are all still early, but i really wanted to hammer out the which parts of Pyrubis' cheek fluff markings were light and dark, and then couldn't not do the rest.
So! We've got a magical quadruped with a gem in its head, a rocky hedgehog, a large bird buddy, a chameleon with some big equipment, and a walrus/manatee thing.

Hey! So, here's some more! Again they're just first drafts, but they're coming along! These buddies are generally larger than the ones from yesterday, and there's now a stack of Pockoon's for scale nearby.
I'm considering the stoazap/weaselec/whatever it's called for the rachel replacement.

Alright! I took some of the feedback i got from you guys, and spent some more time on these. I'm pretty happy with both of them.
The Pelagice colorscheme took a long time to settle on, and i changed the shape language of the marking to better match the ear fins. I know they're not really something you see in nature, but she's like, an icy water dragon, a bit of fantasy is okay i think.
