I know I’ve been slack on the posting! I have a few life things happening, as we all do, that have kept me quite busy lately. I just left my childhood home, the house my parents built, for probably the last time. My dad had a severe accident last year that left him without the use of his legs, and the house they’ve lived in all these years just doesn’t make sense for them anymore. I can be pictured here in their bathroom trying not to cry. (Spoiler: I cried a lot.)

Just found...

...these Three Futures album notes from 2016. I used them like blueprints for a house I was building around me, whose rooms were each a song. In the way that lighting can seem to reshape the architecture of a room, I gave these rooms their own names and defining characteristics, beyond the song titles and not really based in anything related to the lyrics. These color and scent associations felt like they could be the psyche of the record and impart meaning beyond the meaning; a second mind.<...

The truth about touring...

...is that 95% of it is gnarly and not cute, especially when you are trying to take care of yourself but with very little money to do so. I took a Greyhound after last night’s show in Philly and got into NYC at 4 am. I slept in my own bed, which was great, and fed my cat (she misses me when I’m away), and hopped on another Greyhound at noon today. I got into the bus terminal in Boston and immediately hightailed it to the Whole Foods on foot, which is where I am now. I’m sitting here wit...

To Baltimore I go...
