Looks like we're nearing the end of design for the April PDF. I hope to have it ready before the end of the week. Jenni's doing a great job. ^_^
In the mean time, here's a preview of a glitter shoot with Luiza. I'm really excited about this one, the results are seriously cool and the next one's going to be even awesomer.
And! A big ol' welcome to the new Patrons. Hi! Welcome! I look forward to seeing if you're still here when the p...

I'm putting some serious effort into the PDF for this month. I've put 21 pages together so far and I've passed it on to Jenni. You might remember her from the photos you've seen. She's a pole dancer, she's gorgeous, and she's got some wicked design sense. She's making the project like 82% less embarassing. =)
I'll be seeing her Thursday. With luck, I'll have some great stuff for you very quickly after that.
ALSO! Big welcome to the new gu...

I had an idea. Instead of an image dump at the beginning of every month, may I will put together a PDF. Something with more words, stories about the photos, etc.
On the plus side, more content! More backstory, more of everything.
On the down side, it's a PDF. Harder to view on a phone, etc.
What do you prefer?

The Silhouette & Light project is the first attempt I've made at a self contained collection of images, and with the help of some amazing people I think I've got something that doesn't completely suck.
I'm putting the silhouette part of it out as a PDF. 14 girls and 48 silhouettes so far, and there's a preview for all you awesome people right here:

Well, March is nearly over, and looking back at the galleries, it's been a good month. Most of the output this month has been part of the Silhouette & Light project, but there was the new Evolve pole studio opening as well, which was a lot of fun.
The Silhouette project has been the largest ongoing thing I've attempted, and it's starting to come together nicely. Patrons of all levels in April will get a sneak peak of the project so far.
And of course there's some re...

Sometimes it's a matter of luck.
When shooting with Kimi we had a shot that was absolutely perfect, but she had blinked or been temporarily unimpressed with me, and her face was...
Bad. It was bad. It was really awful. But there was another shot where her face was great, but her hair was a mess and the light wasn't quite right, and so I tried something I've never done before: a full face transplant.
Though the second image was seven images farther along in ...

The last week has been pretty busy but I've got a solid gallery of cool stuff for you coming up, including a high-res look at the silhouette project, couple of Behind the Scenes shots of People Eating Stuff, and a very successful edit that surprised the heck out of me when it actually worked.
ETA is Tuesday!
Watch this space. =D

I think we're all complicated brains on ridiculous bodies, creatures of multiplicity and contradiction and uncertainty. At best.
When I see what some other photographers are doing, with their costumes and their sets and their locations and magic processing skills I can't help but think I am a completely different sort of photographer.
I tell people that I don't consider myself an artist. I'm a photographic technician. I know the details, the facts, th...

Hallo to you new patrons! Seriously, I love you guys so much. It means a heap that you're backing me with your hard-earned money. <3
Blog post!
My primary camera is a Nikon D800E, a camera known for its robust magnesium-alloy construction and high resolution, 36 megapixel sensor.
What it's not known for is going out of whack on the regular. Yesterday though I took it to the local repair shop, again. I do feel lu...

I was contacted today by a model who shot with me when she was in Australia three or four years ago. She was really upset that I had posted some of her nude images in my galleries, when we had discussed and decided not to ever post them anywhere. She asked me to remove them and delete all the images we made together, and send her written confirmation that I had done so.
I was shocked, really stunned, because I remember her very well, I remember both our shoots together, and I remem...

The first couple of months of the year are always slow, as my normal client base is struggling to work off their holiday food, and pay off their holiday bills. But I've got some good stuff in the pipe for the February galleries! Please do look forward to it! =D

I've been beavering away on a new gallery setup for you awesome folks, and I made some solid progress today. The all new Patreon-only NFGphoto gallery should be ready on time: the first week of January.
Only a few more days until I drop some high res goodness in your laps and, hopefully, blow your minds. Or at least assuage that nagging down that you're wasting your money.

Back in 2012 I had the unbelievable good fortune to shoot with Sofiya, a woman so beautiful and graceful on the ground and in the air that I can still barely believe it today.
This subscriber post will include five images, and be available to the $10+ tiers. $20 subscribers will also get a before/after image showing the edits that went into one of them.
