Girlfriend 2.0

I recently had my girlfriend upgraded.  She seems pleased with the results.

I won't be posting a Unit 68 page this week.  Unrelenting snowstorms are eating into what little free time I have.  I had a first draft of an image, but decided to go a different direction, which is rendering right now,  but I won't be able to finish it this week.

Mars Needs Milkers test render 3

Still sneaking up on the look.  I much prefer this hair for my Martian.  I think the pods need to be a little more transparent, and the lighting within them needs improvement.  Also, the milkers need to be a tad less uniform, and the teats a bit longer.  So much to do.

I'll be posting the next page of Unit 68 in a day or so.  :)

I'm considering doing Mars Neds Milkers in Iray which provides superior lighting, but also takes longer to render.  This render took approximately seven hours, which is not unreasonable.  I often do quickie ten minute tests to see how things look, then let the image render overnight.  I'm not sure I like the look of my Martian.  I think some hair might improve her looks.  The pods are also too transparent.  It's early days.

Unit 68 - Daz Studio test

I'm finally beginning to make headway.  Improved reflect.  Quick render time.  What do y'all think?  Again, thanks for your patience.

So as I re-tool Unit 68 to Daz Studio, I thought I'd include some just for fun stuff as I try to render my chrome gynoids without making them walking mirrors.  The above uses a gold shader.  The chrome version of this is not reflective enough, but closer to what I've been doing in Poser.  I've got some other shaders to look through.  Render times using this render engine (3Delight) are much faster than Iray, meaning faster turnaround times.

Well, it didn't work...

For some unknown reason, my male characters don't seem to work in Poser, and quite frankly I'm tired of fucking with it.  That being said, what if I continued in Daz Studio?  The render shown is in Iray, which takes longer to render but produces nearly photoreal images.  This is Unit 68 and her identical sister units, rebuilt from the ground up.  What do you think?  Should I continue down this path?

Skin problem solved...?

It appears the skin problems my male characters are having may be due to lighting.  I'm working on a fix.  At least they don't get social diseases.  ;)

Rough Draft #2

This image is a Harley Quinn image I was playing with.  Better control of lighting, though still a little dark.  Not bad for a first attempt.

Real life intrudes.

The good news is I got a promotion at work.  The bad news is I go in for two weeks of training, which means my ability to post new images will be delayed a fortnight or so.  I tell you this now, because tomorrow you fine folks will get charged for September.  If you'd like to bow out for a month or so, that's fine.

Taking a break

My father died this weekend.  It's been coming for a while, but it was still an abrupt ending to a long and eventful life.  Obviously my head is not in a terribly creative place right now, especially considering the subject matter.  You folks have been indulgent and patient, but I don't expect your patience in this.  It may be a week or a month before I post another image.  Please feel free to bail, although you may want to wait until the month is nearly out before doing...

Unit 68 - Level 19

Here is the promised surprise.  It's a test render I did in Daz Studio, just to see how it might look.  It was just a test, so I left out some extras, like the Hive Queen's massive rack.  The gynoids and Unit 1 would all have to be rebuilt from the ground up, to make them more in line with their Poser versions.  I admit the lighting is terrible, but I'm learning.  This render took 65 hours of computer time, and would have probably gone to ~90 hours, but I had set the lim...
