This time, I made a clear distinction between light and shadow during the coloring process. I also aimed to express the tension on surfaces. Even the surface of the skin reflects the flow of force depending on movement. I believe that capturing this can lead to more dynamic and vivid coloring. While this coloring method may differ from current trends, it's quite helpful for understanding the three-dimensional structure of objects. Thank you!

I thought deeply about how to depict a scene from this episode—the rescue of Hipa—in a single illustration. Then, Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam came to mind. I was inspired by how the composition of the original figures can also be interpreted as a rescue scene. Thank you, Master Michelangelo.

I went through quite a bit of trial and error to draw Hipa in a squatting pose while researching. About 30% of the drawing time was spent just on that process.
It was a lot of time, but by drawing the same pose repeatedly, I started to understand certain aspects more clearly. As I redrew the sketch based on that knowledge, I gradually figured out what was truly important and what was unnecessary. It felt like a kind of "refinement" in my own way.
