Things Are Improving

Medically: Horrid, hacking cough is down to a minor one. Less stuff leaking out of my face. Energy is returning.

Otherwise: My bed broke about 3 weeks ago—springs in the middle gave up the ghost and wound up with a sinkhole. Been sleeping on the edge (about a foot and a half wide) since then. Yesterday got my new one delivered and slept like 9.5 hours. Bliss.

December is 3 days in and is already 400% better than November.

Well, I think it's pretty obvious that I've had a rough November. I have had to refund those folks I am doing commissions for and haven't been able to write anything solid for over a week.

But this won't continue.

December is almost upon me, and I have to go into it with the intent of recovering from this funk. My intent is to leave my Patreon campaign active, but I will refund commissioning folks right from the get-go. This will mean I won't be working on Background Alicorn and o...

How Have You Been?

Two weeks ago I got a runny nose and a little bit of a cough. Today I have had to get antibiotics for a chest infection. Fun! Unfortunately this means this week's writing has been almost non-existent, as constant head-funk and lack of sleep has made me delete damn near everything I write as utter crap.

Hopefully the meds will help clear this up.

Heads-up

Next week, I'll be spending Wednesday, Thursday, and some of Friday preparing for and being in hospital. It's just a 5-yearly check that all old buggers who are too stubborn to die need, so don't stress.

It will mean I am going to be mostly incommunicado for at least the Thursday and Friday, and likely not all that keen to write either. I hope it won't affect my writing, but if it does—I will let you all know first.

Dungeons In Space-ace-ace-ace Worldbuilding

This is the bit where I step aside from my characters for a moment and think about what in the world (hee) I'm doing.

For everything but dungeons, this is high Mohs Scale hardness. There is no FTL (travel or comms). Tech is limited a little by the meat attached to it, but can scale very well and they have a standard plan for deploying into an appropriate solar system.
