I'm glad to say that I'm almost done with the big airport scene! It's the middle of the chapter and takes up close to half of the chapter's runtime. There's not a ton of overtly explicit stuff, but there's a lot of story and action.

The first 100+ renders are done, and even though the climax isn't rendered yet there's a ton of amazing stuff already. This chapter is just wall-to-wall action!

Thinking I'll do Emma Shrinks the World next month

Getting a ton of positive feedback on dA, I think I'll do the first chapter soon. Planning on having it be a short series, in the 2-4 chapter range, although it could end up going longer. I want her to "grow" in size pretty quickly. I posted some of these pics here before but that was a while back so I'll post them again.

Did some more work the last couple of days, I'm up to 75 renders done, although some of them are placeholders that I plan on redoing. I realized it would be a bad idea to try and put out OAG this month when I still need to do stuff like put together a lot of the sets and get some of the other characters ready!

The awkward thing is, I'm only like a third of the way into my planned outline of the chapter, so this one might either run pretty long again, or some of the stuff that was suppos...

I'm happy with this version, I think I'm going to stick with it. Also, here's a look at a costume that I might use in the next chapter!

I'm undecided but I'm thinking I might call an audible and put out OAG this month instead of Kaylee. I'll work on both for a few days and see which one I feel more inspired by.

I think the body is basically complete. I know her face doesn't look that much like she did before, but I also think it's a lot more interesting and expressive than before, so I'm okay with that. I also included a much earlier (and much worse) test for comparison.

I wanted to see how detailed I could make G8 look, so I turned up the bump maps and detail morphs higher than I normally would. I've decided that I'm not going to make the switch to G8.1 for existing models, the improvements are so small that it's not worth the trouble. G8 doesn't exactly have a shortage of detail!

The image above "only" has the vertical resolution of a 4K image. If you want, you can download one below that's as tall as a 16K image! It's a 30 MB PNG so don't download it...

I'm trying to decide which one to switch to after the first scene. The second render is the HDRI that I was using before. Which one do you think looks best?

I'm leaning towards the first one, it's dramatic and the lighting is soft for a change. It's a bit too dark but that's an easy fix.

Testing out Kaylee with G8 vs. G8.1

In both images Left is G8, Right is G8.1. I wanted to test this but I don't think I'll be switching over.

First image: a test of G8.1 with Kaylee's textures. The difference in detail is pretty negligible; Aside from extreme close-ups of the eyes I doubt you could tell the difference. Not much of an upgrade!

Second image: I applied a texture made specifically for G8.1. While the extra details with the skin are nice, and the G8.1 skin shader is more realistic, it seems "off" somehow...

Kaylee 18 - Chaos at the Airport

Yeona was about to be loaded onto a cargo plane with Krystal, when she grew bigger and broke out of her chains!

So I originally just did this as a stress test to make sure my PC could render all these characters at once... But I'm realizing now that it's a lot more interesting than my original plan for the sequence, where Kayla and Kaylee arrived a while after all this action happened. I think I might retool things a bit so I can have more awesome shots like this!

Character tests: Krystal and Yeona

As you can see, Krystal is slowly outgrowing her clothes and Yeona has put on a little muscle!

I thought about keeping Yeona a secret, but it would have been hard to work around that, so oh well. Don't get too excited though, she's going to play a pretty small part in the story!
