When I set this up there'd already been a beta tester group in place for some time & I didn't want to make this into a pay to beta test option. However it's come up a number of times now that that's what's expected.

WACUP Beta Build #11096

Not sure how this update is going to come out as it hasn't been the best of months with no beta build though there's been a lot of testing including some who've been running interim builds to help validate & resolve some specific & at times long running issues that have been affecting them & some others which as we'll find out a bit more have been put to bed at last.

WACUP Development Update February 2022

With having done the new beta builds in the first half of the month & it being a short month, it doesn't seem like it should be time for me to do another monthly update but it is so here's your on going ramblings from me :)

Four in a row, woo :) Well another month & I suspect like a lot of us it's been another weird one in either not meeting the goals planned or things just getting in the way. WACUP Development Update November 2021

Related to expanding the range of platforms, thanks to your support I did splash out on being a corporate supporting monster & picked up a discounted Raspberry Pi 400 during the black Friday 'month' that seems to go on where I am.s is stability is at a point that I'm happy with (as I hope is the case for the beta testers) & how WACUP runs under WINE is improved (something that is useful as I know there's a fair few who like to use WACUP in such a manner).

WACUP Beta Build #9410

Almost 3 weeks on from the last one with life getting in the way at times #WACUP #beta 1.5.7.9410 is now up for beta testers with more done to ensure its stable so I can now work on the blockers for a new preview build.

Things that still need to be done before a new public preview build happens include:

1) artwork display support within the local library views

2) library watch folders / external file change tracking

This month has been an odd one as its not felt like it was productive since there were only 3 beta builds (9136, 9166 & last night's 9278) but on a quick review of those 3 changelogs & with an overall drop in the crash reports seen from the builds it has gone better than I thought :)

Beta Testing

As some of you may know I've not been adding new beta testers for the past few months as almost 5yrs of people coming & going has left it in a mess.

I've still to try & sort out making it less of a manual process for me to have to manage it along with hopefully making it easier to enable access if you're a patron but I'm also aware that some of you have been patiently waiting for sometime now.

So instead of waiting even longer for me, the point of this post is to offer you...

There's limitations - no equaliser & modern skin support but it's a start.

WACUP Development Update September 2021

It's fair to say this month & also August haven't really gone to plan when it comes to WACUP's development since the plan for July had been to have had a new preview build out which is still a way off due to recurring stability issues with the replacement local media library plug-in (aka multi-threading can be hard at times).

WACUP Beta Build #8282

So 8256 was a bit of a mixed bag between the Win7 loading issue &  the helper legacy.dll causing more trouble than it was meant to do (so  that's gone as I couldn't get it to behave nicely on my Win7 setup due  to runtime conflicts which isn't reasonable to ask any of you lot to  swap & change runtime dlls).

Site Outage

Am aware the wacup site is basically down & shows a "No input file specified." response.

Dunno what the hosting provider has decided to do last night as part of their maintenance work nor can I see any site files via ftp (empty dir) so I'm not happy (I do have recent local backups).
