September has come and gone, the weather is turning colder for those of us living in the northern hemisphere (and I imagine, warmer for those in the southern hemisphere), and it's about time I gave you a little update on the state on the game.

Chapter 2, now what?

Indeed. Chapter 2 was released a little over a week ago, and in the mean time, issues were fixed, typos rectified, and renders touched up. Now what?

Well, I took this weekend off to relax a bit, clear my head, and enjoy the aftermath of this release. We doubled in patrons (welcome all), so we must be doing something right!

Post release chapter 2

Whoa. Chapter 2 released over the weekend, and most reviews were quite positive. I'm very happy to hear that, and relieved most of you enjoyed it. I can't keep saying this enough, but your support means the world to me, and it is you who are making this game possible.

Chapter 2 is out now!

There we are. Chapter 2 of light of my life.

Changes:

• Several renders touched up and spelling/grammar corrections to chapter 1.
• Very minor rework of chapter 1 dialogues for clarity or to add some minor choices.
• Fix Brooke lovepoints being awarded to Macies pool in chapter 1 (v0.2.x), and corrected both pools to compensate.

Dafuq my game at, Naughty?

Renders are 99.9% done. I'm just rendering touch-ups and filler to keep my rig running as I'm writing dialogue and editing the images into the text. Most of the dialogue is blocked out, and I'm just converting it into Ren'py, touching it up and adding flow control, but there's a bunch to go through, and the editing of the images takes time too, as I usually compose my scenes with p...

On a serious note, I really want to drop a more substantial preview, but I really don't want to spoil anything at this point either. 

Chapter 2 progress

Well, it's been about a month and a half since chapter 1 dropped. By my best reckoning, I have a little over 160 hours of work put into chapter 2, and I've been loving every minute of it. 

So, where does that leave chapter 2? I'd say, about halfway there. So that means it's not going to drop this month. I'm hoping for (but not promising) an end of July release. 

Thanks for sticking with me. I'll keep you updated on progresses.

I have no idea what I'm doing when writing.

I'm at a point where there's a lot of rendering and dforce simulating going on, and some of the key scenes for chapter two are written out and waiting to be illustrated with the results of said rendering, so I'm taking a little writing break as Daz3d is hammering away at my processor and graphics card to write this post.

Renders, renders, renders...

For an adult game, a surprisingly small fraction of the renders actually contain adult content. But the co-worker character was in dire need of a second venue so here a small peek at that.

And don't despair, dramatic principle states that if there is a copier standing near the wall, in the second or third chapter someone must have been bent over it.

On release schedules...

The question "when's the next release" seems to pop up quite a bit, and it's nice because it means you enjoyed it and want more. Because of that,I think I owe you an answer.

I don't want to go for a monthly release, or anything set in stone, for the following reason:

We need to talk...

Hi all (well, there's two of you for now). Like it said in the benefits description on the $20 tier, let's talk about it.

So, you're pledging a serious amount of money, and I'm not sure how I can reward that properly, and a lot of the things I can think of like a custom render all takes time away from development of the game proper, which I can imagine isn't what you really want.

So I'm thinking: exclusive sneak peeks showing some more skin that what goes out to the preceding tier...

Interest in early access?

I'm wondering if there would be an interest in early access? 

The idea here is to make a release available a few days ahead of public release to select patrons from the $5 and up tier that are interested in proof reading, finding graphical glitches and render issues, and finding bugs. 

The build itself would be a release candidate, e.g. a completed chapter in polished state, no placeholders with text that say "a really hot scene goes here soon".
