Hello friends! We've made it to August, which kicked off with me completely redoing the studio. New lights, new atmosphere, and even new paint! I needed to create a space that I could thrive in, and to put behind previous memories. If you check out my Snapchat Photoreceptor you can see progress videos throughout the night. Not only is it a supreme joy to work with Theatre actors, they genuinely bring my artwork alive in ways most others just...can't. Take Kayla for example... She's absolutely electric!

Recently I had the pleasure of working with Peppermint. When I say recently, I use that that term loosely, as she was painted in secret BEFORE I had launched Supernova. Surprise!

First Art: Let's start this post off casually with the DEBUT of Anthony Pool in Supernova! Only there is nothing casual about this incredibly detailed artwork, featuring a vividly painted neon sword.
In Randall's recent piece, I opted to keep the two blades he brought as natural as possible. The red lights created the cool effect you see. Assisted by Dylan Riggs.

This was supposed to only be a 2 hour body painting session, but I was really enjoying the artwork and wanted to teach Dylan more body art. As usual, if I go over, I don't charge the client extra. I should probably be more mindful though! :P

An hour before my client's appointment, Best broke up with me during a short phone call from Colorado. This was not the first time a stressful interaction took place moments before a client was seen. Nor will it be the last. I try hard to not let my personal baggage impact their session, but I usually wear my heart on my sleeve. I just try to be open about it, and let the person know that I'll still do a great job.

While I put the finishing touches on Tarot, I started a smaller series called Supernova. Only in the next 30 days, I have nearly a dozen bookings! Massive improvement.
