Working on some coding for the character creator in a big overhaul of what I already have. Although coding isn't my strong suit, I'm really pleased with how I'm managing to streamline this section! Definitely a continuation of my goal to clean up a lot of the coding for this book and beyond....

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 15/March/2024

Internet has been atrocious again this week, so I’m giving this update to Nai via SD card for her to post up using her internet!

With the internet being so bad, I haven’t been able to do my usual social media days with asks on Tumblr, so Nai will be posting up some things on there so you guys have some fun posts to see until I can get online.

Ask Of The Month - March 2024

Mishka is currently immersed in creating some BFF scenes for the highly anticipated Book 4. The decision of who your main character (MC) chose as their BFF was officially solidified in Book 3. The choice of BFF can greatly impact the narrative (as we saw at the end of Book 3 - M was NOT holding back!), influencing the dynamics of relationships. I can't wait to see how this decision plays out in the upcoming book, because as you know Mishka has a love of variation and it will definitely change...

Monthly Bonus #1 - Arane Chamber Throne Sketch

Mishka is STILL having internet issues, so she's asked me to upload this on her behalf - the Chamber Throne of Chamber member Arane. 

In book 3, this throne was described as "His seat is almost dusty with glimmering silken webs clinging to it and the webs respond to his movements" - Mishka had a really good time sketching this one, she said Arane loves being dramatic and I think this is a very appropriately over the top throne hehe! 

Building the World of Wayhaven.

While decluttering the office before spring, we stumbled upon Mishka's extensive collection of papers on world building. It's impressive to see the dedication and effort Mishka put into creating a believable world for our favourite series. The way she has crafted Wayhaven and its characters makes it easy for us to envision ourselves living in that world. It's remarkable to think that Mishka started working on Wayhaven as a teenager and her passion for it has only grown since then.

The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update+ 08/March/2024

Hey! It's Naomi here,

Mishka is having incredibly frustrating internet issues at the moment (cue some Agent Sewell style muttering about technology), so couldn't send me the update as usual. 

Buuuuut, that being said she did want me to let you know that she is really on a roll with Book 4 - her fingers have been flying faster than ever over the keyboard (whilst also ignoring my own comments about RSI)!

Mishka is in the process of crafting a scene featuring Agent Pierson and requested my assistance in creating an aesthetic board (you know I can't get enough haha). I can't help but feel conflicted about Pierson's growing connection with Tina. What does your main character think about this budding relationship?

Ended up being a super busy week this week!

I finished up the last of the love triangle scene, but I decided to add in just a small bit of text to hint at who the MC is drawn to more, or if it’s equal. I really, really like it! It’s just a subtle little line that fits narratively but gets an important game mechanic across to the player too.

The World of Wayhaven - The Community Centre

Wayhaven’s Community Centre is a more recent building—one of the few purpose built for its use rather than being transformed from an old warehouse.

It has been the location for many of the town’s most favourite events and also some memorable ones that didn’t go quite to plan (the Stewart’s anniversary picnic from a few years ago that ended in fire and panic springs to mind).

But it is open to everyone and anyone who wishes to hire it for any reason they may need...
