The Wayhaven Chronicles- Update+ 09/Feb/2024

As everyone is quite aware by now, I do love angst and big gestures! :D

It suits the way I enjoy to play out scenes and write them all as big moments and over the top emotions and scenes.

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 03/Feb/2024

This week was an interesting week!

As I said last week, I wanted A’s opening (well, all the love interest openings) to have a certain feel for Book Four.

At this point, both as the character and a reader, we want to be getting into the romance now. A real focus on it. It’s been months in-game, so the MC and their love interest know each other enough now that they’re definitely out of the flirtation stage, even if not in a relationship yet.

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 26/Jan/2023

I did something this week I don’t normally do: I rewrote Adam/Ava’s scene as I was writing it.

Normally, when I do rewrites, I will keep going with the scene I’m on and then decide afterwards. It’s surprising how things change once the whole scene is written! But something just wasn’t quite right with how I wanted their opening to be.

It didn’t match with the ‘vibe’ I wanted for the love interest openings.

The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update+ 19/Jan/2024

Flu is not fun, lol! Was very thankful when my head started working again after the flu fog started to shift.

But it was back to it finally this week. I was reacquainting myself with the whole of Book 4’s plan, as well as making some adjustments to things I’d thought about over Christmas break.

Then it was onto Adam/Ava’s scene, which has been a lovely thing to come back to after being ill....

Luckily I think there is only one time I describe pastries in Book Four, so I’m really reining myself in with it this time around, lol! :D
