Cooldown requests + Magcargo variants

In the middle of sketching the regular Magcargo, I thought it’d be neat if there was one where it was mossy instead then I continued with a beach inspired variant. I miss the time when pokemon variants and cross breeds were trending, it really bought out a lot of creativity from artists.

And in the midst of sketching pokemon, I had a cool crossover idea of pokemon mystery dungeon but with animal crossing villagers. The idea is that the mission they’d do are the kind of stuff you do in ACNH like catching a bug/fish and deliver a gift. Adjusting a day for the opening

First off, I've sent the bust rewards for February for Tier 3 patrons so check your inboxes for them. I also recorded the entire 15 busts sitting at 529.8 MB and 16 minutes timelapse jeez. I'll upload it when everyone gives me the go.

I have a couple of things to do first before this such as finishing the bust rewards by Monday, a nearly done commission piece, and something for Pokemon Day but yeah, thinking I’ll open commissions again later next week, most likely Friday and I was thinking of doing sketch sheets as well as my previous commission options? New Agent and Little Buddy

Splatoon 3 hypeeee. These were loads of fun to do. It’s funny how the bow is just a fishing rod and you know those balloon pumps? Yeah that. I don’t know what the other 2 on either side of the pump though. Oh also! The new yellow and purple combo reminds me of Ube and Keso, a classic ice cream combo here in the Philippines.

Mightyena warmup

A sketch that turned into 3 because I enjoyed giving Mightyena a more hyena body shape than a dog or wolf like in the official design. Also I’m a dumbass and forgot to hit record on this rip that timelapse.

ACNH Bookstore WIP 3

So it’s been a while working back on this because I was honestly stuck with how to proceed next. Lining this was very therapeutic but gosh putting base colors is a chore but it has to be done. I did the shading first though, if you see the top right portion and I’ll most likely add even more shadows later to really make this pop. Learn as I go I suppose.

Sothis cooldown and SR with Kaos

I am dead scared of attempting to draw Sothis’ regalia. Her hair design has a bunch of layers to it hmmm I could break it down in the morning actually! And to end the evening, a quick doodle of me and Kaos playing Salmon Run, the only mode I play because my internet is so bad, I don’t wanna ruin rank for anyone. I’ve been trying to upgrade but I keep running out of slots for fiber.

I was in a bit of an art block so I gathered a bunch of refs (bless visref in ipad btw) and just drew hands.

Claudeleth kids stack or a battle formation

I think I’m improving on coloring with these brushes. I think. The only slight annoyance is that I can’t color pick the same shade again because it’s semi transparent with textures and all that so I gotta keep the base colors in a different layer. It’s also not easy to mix colors so you’d have to make a top layer with either a different shade and lower opacity or different layer mode like multiply and overlay.

Bearded Claude no more

I’m having a good drive you guys. Been a while since I sat down to finish lining and coloring something in one go. 

Anyway, this is a continuation of the previous post, both I sketched and shared for friends on discord about this thing a while back where little kids would not recognize their dad after shaving, especially when they’ve only seen him with a beard.

Warmup sketches (01.20)

I ended up sketching Wooloo a bunch more times because the first attempt (top left) was a little too stiff, much like first attempts. I’ll ask for more prompts again but there’s Marianne left and will focus the last few days of January with the ACNH bookstore art and the bust rewards.

Samurott

Relaxing with some good ol painting. I can’t express enough how I wish Samurott was the fighting type instead of another fire starter back in gen 5. It always had such a cool design.

ACNH Bookstore WIP 2 + asking for villager cameos

ACNH Bookstore WIP 1

Bookstore, the winner of the poll. I made this more complicated than I needed to but I surprisingly had fun once I got the hang of it. Did you know I used to be good in drafting classes back in high school? Yeah, really sad I let that skill rust and now buildings are my bane. I’ll make it a goal to get better, I swear.

AC Island Buildings series poll

If you follow my side gaming twitter for animal crossing, you’d know that I love making fake buildings on my island. They’re about the same size ratio as actual buildings in the game so my citycore looks a lot less empty. I’ve thought about how cool it would be to draw them with my villagers around the area as a series.
