She dropped to the floor, barely noticing the shocking pain as her stocking clad knees slammed into the pavement, tiny bits of gravel, grit, and grime punishing the smooth delicate pink skin of her palms. Her mind was frantically trying to fight for cohesion just as it tried to grapple with the blame of her oblivious mistakes. It was a losing conflict.

Well now, July has been a busy month. We checked in on Emily's misadventures with a tribute series to "Emily Lockwood in New Beginnings." And even now we await the outcome of Dawn Meadows in The Red Detective.

But that doesn't mean it's not the perfect time to ask that age old question: What do you all want to see next? August heat means hot renders! So get to it and vote for what you're excited to see.

And even though there's a few more tag along renders before the end of the month, I figured, let's ask the fun question: What does everybody want to see next???

I tried to think of all the mistakes I might have made that led to this point. Left my purse by the door? Running in stocking feet? Snooping where I shouldn't belong? Not checking my surroundings first? Not changing into fresh tights? Spending more time making sure I had a cute outfit than studying the details of the case? It was all so overwhelming... I felt my head spinning and the inevitable tidal wave of sleep washing over me.

Oh, Dawn! Just because those legs of yours can open doors, doesn't mean that you should go walking through them. What was your plan after you exposed corruption within City Hall? When you make enemies of the rich and powerful it takes more than the "sheer elegance" of a pair of L'Eggs pantyhose. You may have cracked this case like one of those nostalgic plastic eggs... but just like the cheap flimsy pairs, your story ended up in the trash. And you with it!

I Smell a Rat

Before we get to Hannah Hoxley's "Girl Detective Blues" our Guest Artist decided to drop by and inform us how Dawn Meadow's investigation is going. It turns out the phrase "I smell a rat" is not just a saying in the movies. Maybe she should agonized a little less over the denier of her pantyhose and a little more over her cover story. Then again, the rats don't seem to mind... Oh, Dawn... when are you ever going to learn?

River City Girls - Misako & Kyoko 2

Anybody who has ever played a brawler knows what it's like when you accidentally catch your partner with a stray elbow. That leads to a not so accidental punch, kick, and a throw. Next thing you know, you've completely forgotten about the bad guys, and the only thing louder than your yelling match on the couch is the blinking chime of the fallen character sprite for whichever one of you lost the sudden grudge match.

River City Girls - Misako & Kyoko

Uh oh, did someone hit "start" on controller two? It looks like Emily Lockwood will be putting the "plural" in River City Girls. The best part of every beat-em-up game is the co-op element and RCG is no different. Kyoko (as cosplayed by the ever helpful Emily) is the sweet naive alternative to Misako's more aggressive can-do grrrl.

Playing as these two girls trying to rescue their kidnapped boyfriends is a hilarious romp well worth the couch co-op with a buddy.
