ZONO -- Zono, my dude; I love him. I am of course on the Sunshine Sawamura train, but now I'm a fully fledged Tojo and Zono fan as well with these episodes! The rain was a great factor in this game, but our Seidou boys clearly shine in the sun! What a fantastic game to start us off in Season 2....

I fangirl a LOT in this set of episodes, mainly Episode 10.
I'm so glad I wasn't spoiled for how this series was going to weave in XingChen and Song into the "flashback" episodes, but I'm sooo digging this alteration in the storyline.

Oh, Yi City Arc -- y'all warned me it would be more painful than the donghua made it, and you all were RIGHT. T_T
The emotions of the VA, the score, the dialogue, the manhua -- these three versions were a tour de force of pain and even though I knew what was coming, I nearly teared up again! Lu and Cheng continue their missions, this time delving into a fallen apart friendship with more than one parallel to our current salt and pepper duo -- and it does't look like it's going to be an easy mystery to crack.

Oooh, show, you're really treating us, aren't you? Rabbits, WANGJI'S SMILE (*cue me fangirling like crazy*), WuXian being precious with his siblings...it's like all the happiness before the fall, right?

Oh my GOSH, y'all -- you all told me that the novel and audio drama of Yi City would be better than the donghua -- and I have to AGREE!

I had NO idea what to expect with these three OVA's post-season one of Ace of the Diamond, but they EXCEEDED every expectation!
Getting slice of life backstory on Ryo/Haruichi, Kuramochi, and Kawakami was so wholesome, sweet, and inspiring! I loved these OVA's and I'm so glad I watched them! Thanks, @Kelsey, for the link to them! Now...let's GO SEASON TWO! :)

This show has made us suffer through some pain and darkness these last several episodes, but WHAT A SEASON FINALE! Our Sunshine Boy Returns!
What a gift our Chris-senpai gives us in these final episodes for season one! I loved how this wrapped up the season; everything came full circle from the beginning...the "retirement game" was so bittersweet and beautiful...I'm SERIOUSLY going to miss our 3rd Years, but I'm SO hyped to see what season two has in store for us, now!

We start a new series - a new donghua at that - and OH MY. I'm so on board!
From the modern, lo-fi, unique art style, to this spooky, time-travel-esque mystery/detective concept -- there's a LOT of intrigue with this series already, and a creepy, darker undertone that has me hooked by the last 30 seconds!
I'm sure there will be MUCH longer discussions with this series as we delve deeper, but for an opening pilot? Color me intrigued!

In this video, we finish up "season one" of the audio drama, getting fully into Yi City with the introduction of Xue Yang, A-Qing, and XingChen proper! There were so many great moments in this set of chapters (36-38)!
