No, it's official -- I want to go drinking with Wangji and XiChen! SERIOUSLY, these episodes were amazing and I just cannot get over them!
From demonic vegetables, to ZiXuan courting Yanli and being the most adorable tsundere cinnabun, to Wangji causing chaos in Gusu....show, I did NOT anticipate any of this, but I am LOVING it!

The final episodes of the Slam Dunk anime! I do really like seeing the "lead up to nationals" finally animated -- and while it's not the amazing National matches, it was cool to see this "all star" team up of characters face one another in a final match!
However, how does the ending hold up to the manga ending? I'm curious to hear your thoughts as well, as we round out this amazing series!

Nezumi's past is FINALLY revealed, but now there's more questions, concerning Nezumi and Safu's connection, Safu's role in all of this, and what Shion is going to do with the new information given to him!
We're building towards the climax of the series, and I have no clue how it's going to go! I'll definitely be eager to read the manga once these episodes are sadly over!

I still have a few side stories to review, and today, I read "Flyboy in the Sky" and the Mangaka's Q&A "Ura Banana" for the Banana Fish series!
We get the backstory behind Ibe-san and Eiji today and yet again, Yoshida-sensei delivers a direct blow to the ol' heart, while also giving us a beautiful little story and some tiny bits of humor as well. As per the Banana Fish usual!

After two intense matches, we dive RIGHT INTO two more! Kainen vs. Ryonan and the fated Ryonan vs. Shohoku! The 90's tropes and animation are ON POINT this video -- so many sparks flying between players, as well as the infamous Coach Anzai/Sakuragi Father flashback from Volume 17 -- there's just a lot of good going on with this chunk of episodes!
Next week I'll conclude my marathoning of Slam Dunk! What a journey!

Sooooooo....Ikuya and Hiyori have a much more complicated past than I initially thought. And while we get some understanding behind Hiyori's thoughts and past...my dude, your actions are not exactly "helping" Ikuya.
Hmmm...Ikuya obviously needs a wider support net, and Natsuya getting closer and closer to the eye of the storm may hopefully help! In any case, this episode sets up some interesting developments as we enter the second half of the season!
Despite some technical difficulties with this week's recording, I REALLY thought this episode was flat out GOOD.
Nezumi, you act cold and heartless, but you can't hide your feelings for Shion, can you? And Shion, you aren't fooling anyone, either. I'm genuinely worried for the mom, genuinely worried for Safu (WTF, right?!), but in the midst of all this worry, we FINALLY get some actual communication between Shion and Nezumi...and...well...

Y'all, we finally get to see Shoyo vs. Shohoku and Kainen vs. Shohoku animated, and it did NOT disappoint! This reaction ended up being SO long because there was so much I didn't want to cut from the matches! ^^ I hope that's alright!

This season finale was everything I wanted and all the things I didn't know I needed! It's so bittersweet to end this series (hopefully, just for now), but this final episode was SO FABULOUS! The bonds, the final "S" race, the over-the-top animation and extra-ness of this episode (and that epilogue?!) was just wonderful! Now...where's Season Two?!

We finally get some more focus on what Rei, Nagisa, and the newbies have been up to and it feels strange going back to high school for this episode! But officially: I LOVE Romio!
