WIP update #6: New Models!

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed I've been busier with something a bit vague - I've been juggling quite a bit the last few weeks! I wanted to quickly thank y'all, it's your support that's allowed me to focus on my own work so much and really put the time in. I hope it shows. WIP Update #5: Using video reference

Ah, I really enjoyed my holiday to marshmallow land, thank you all for indulging me. Would you believe me if I said I ended up rendering the beach scene five times? In 4K? The struggle was real, so many animation errors. I think it was worth it though ;)

Some miscellaneous drawings

It's taken me a while to scrape these together, but here we go! At the request of Marrotock (thank you!), here's a handful of drawings from the last couple of years that are kinda good-enough-to-show. The animations from Poll #3 are now up! I had a lot of fun doing the fine skin deformations for these ones, I'm improving my techniques every time.

PS great news! I've just finished upgrading my render pipeline to E-Cycles, which is proving to be an insane boost to my render speed (up to 500%). That means more 4K renders, longer animations, alternate angles and probably more!

WIP update #3

Alright, apologies for the delay with this one, I just kept getting more things done! We're checking in with that flashlight animation again, it's getting into the final stretch. The animation is roughly 85% done at this point, and rendering is just under half finished. In the last update I said it would be about the length of the angelshy animation from last year... but I was completely wrong. It's looking more like twice as long, and it could go as long as three minutes! Not bad for a coupl...

Be honest, you couldn't handle one of them on their own, let alone all of them together. Seems like they have a secret photo album full of more... risque friendship memories.

I'm honestly surprised I hadn't done a picture like this yet, thanks to one of ya'll for (anonymously) requesting it. Great fun to work on images like this between animations!

WIP Update #2

The poll has spoken! We're finding out how well fluttershy can take it in the throat. Spoiler: like a champ. People seemed pretty interested in continuing the scene and I'm happy to oblige!

I jumped at the opportunity to use lattices, they're the perfect bulge solution - just limit the influence to the affected area with some weight painting and it's like magic! Great fun,  love the result.

WIP update #1

First WIP update! I'm looking forward to sharing the process and giving y'all a sneak peek at what's coming next! This time we're taking a look at the flashlight animation I've been working on. Fun fact about this one - I actually started working on it way back in 2020, before even my first uploads. Back then it wasn't flash, I was just using Vismund's Artur model. I've picked it back up now that I've got a lot of my rendering pipeline sorted and worked out a lot of the kinks with the models....
