Well, we've had absolutely one week of spring and have gone straight into summer. It was very short lived. Yesterday was the hottest April 11th on record for Las Vegas. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I'll be spending lots of time in the water, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. 😉

Easter weekend always makes me think of spring and dressing up. Putting on all my finery. It was a chance for my mother to get out her best dress and she would make sure we were dressed just as nicely, minus the stockings and garters. I can still see her snapping her stockings and getting into her shoes, which she still does today. She was probably my biggest influence on why I love stockings so much.

Whiskey Wednesday
Thank you so much to a sweet friend who gifted me this bottle of Whistlepig Single Barrel Rye 10 year. He loves wine, but may be expanding his horizons to enjoy some whiskey every now and again!
I am partial to bourbon and Irish Whiskey, but this Rye bottle was quite good. An unexpected punch at the finish, but I really enjoyed it and would recommend. I'm sure it would be especially good in a Manhattan!

Sometimes, things are so hectic that I just can't keep up. Honestly, I think I was much more excited about the glass than the whiskey. It's not often a girl is gifted her own personalized whiskey glass. I do like Gelston's, but in the older expressions. The 25 year old is one of my favorites, but very difficult to find.
