The morning air was crisp, the kind that woke you up faster than a strong cup of coffee. I walked at a steady pace down the sidewalk, my shoes tapping rhythmically against the pavement. I was making good time.
Not surprising—Mom always drilled into me the importance of being early for everything...

I knew I was in trouble the moment I stepped into that grand, broken hall.
Kneeling beside Faylina, I felt like my stomach was about to drop out of my body. The air in the room was thick with tension, like the lingering embers of a fire that had burned too hot. And at the center of it all, sitting on a throne that barely looked used, was Prince Aldric. The future king of a kingdom that, well... no longer existed.

It all began on a normal day. The sky was blue with a few scattered clouds, the temperature was warm but not overbearing, and overall, life was good. That was, of course, until the massive eyes appeared in the sky.
At first, no one knew what they were looking at. Maybe some sort of atmospheric anomaly? A strange eclipse? But the longer we stared, the more undeniable it became—those were eyes. Massive eyes.

Waking up in a new place was always weird.
For a second, as I stared up at the wooden ceiling of my little house, I almost forgot where I was. It was too quiet. Too still.
Then I remembered.
I was in Takamura's Dojo. Living in a miniature house on top of a dresser. And today?
You reunite with THE alien that you saved, and it looks like this time she wants something from you.

Gravity bent and wavered with each step she took, and the stars themselves seemed to dim in reverence. Her golden hair flowed like waves of liquid sunlight, and in her hands, she cradled the tiniest of specks—a mere fragment of life, a mortal being so insignificant compared to the vastness of her existence, yet held with the utmost care.

I Always wanted to be special, to be someone that could save the world. I know laugh if you want, ya jerks, but that was my dream. So could you imagine my surprise when the day finally came when people started to get superpowers with one simple mission branded into their minds, to save the world from the coming apocalypse.
Maybe I’m one of these savors, these Awakened, Na it can’t be, I think I’ll just raise these children I found one day.
Wait a minute!

His feet dug into the wooden surface of the table, his arms locked in place as he pushed against the approaching wall of flesh. Sweat dripped down his brow, but for once, he wasn't struggling just to keep up—he was actually holding it back.
Zuri smirked, her massive face looming over him like a rising sun. Her white teeth flashed in amusement, her brown eyes practically sparkling with disbe...

The planet Veydris bustled with life, its twin suns casting golden light upon vast oceans, towering spires of crystalline cities, and lush emerald fields that stretched beyond the horizon. It was a world of peace, a world that had long known prosperity under the protection of the Federation. Children laughed as they played in the bustling streets of Zanethis, the planet's capital city. Merchants called out their wares, and lovers strolled hand in hand beneath the luminescent trees that lined ...

Theron walked through the massive iron gates of Vaeloria, his boots hitting the stone road with purpose. Behind him, nine men followed in disciplined silence—the brothers he had shed blood and sweat with, the warriors who had endured body-breaking training by his side, all for the sake of protecting the kingdom.

Today was the day of his return, the day he...

I barely had a second to process where I was before everything shifted.
The ground beneath me suddenly lurched, and I was thrown backwards into a wall of warm, slightly damp flesh. My whole body stuck to it for a moment before bouncing off, sending me tumbling into the soft yet firm surface below.
And then it hit me.
I was in Harper's shoe.
And that massive, mountain-sized shape in front of me?
That was her foot.
The realization sent a spike o...

The cold iron of the shackles clamped around my wrists with an audible click. A dozen knights surrounded me, their weapons drawn as if I were some kind of wild animal about to break loose. I glanced down at the cuffs and gave them a small tug, feeling how laughably weak they were.

I could snap them like twigs.
But I didn't.
Instead, I let them sit ag...

Stepping out of the shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and took a deep breath, letting the warmth from the water linger for just a little longer. It was too early for all this.
I ran my hands through my damp hair and looked at myself in the mirror, giving myself a little pep talk.
"Alright, Charlotte,...

A flicker of memory sparked in her mind: she had seen a glimpse of him ...

My boots sank into the blood-soaked earth, and the ground squelched as he shifted. Every inch around my surroundings were littered with the remains of giants and Lilliputians alike-scattered limbs, twisted faces frozen in terror or rage, blank eyes staring into nothing. A thick swarm of flies droned above, mosquitoes buzzing, feasting on the dead. The stench was suffocating, a mix of iron, decay, and rot that clawed at the back of my throat.
