with the movie coming out soon i want my parody sketch comic out so i can try to capitalize on whatever fan boom it may get. i will probably only get it up to a sketch but maybe a nice flat color

another busy day so did not get much drawing done. one of my drives corrupted, fortunately not the drives with my drawing or 3d files on but i will need to do a repair on it and then transfer the data to the other drives

i felt the urge to grab some of the panels from raven and the lilly and start fixing them. thanks to not being color blind anymore i don't have to worry about rendering everything out to get the colors right.

i have been wanting to start Mar's stories for a LONG time. so i will just start doing it. my biggest problem is i keep telling myself "no it's not ready, it's not TIME to start"....yeah i know i should not think that way. so i will JUST DOO IT!!!

i have been having a hard time working on just one this, so i thought "screw it" and just opened a bunch of projects i wanted to work on and just got to it
i completly redrew her arms to make her pose more natual and gave him a few tweaks too so it looks more like she is leaning into him

this sunday i will be getting together with some other artist friends to try out some traditional mediums.
we plan to use watercolor, colored pencils, oils and whatever else on hand to make this image truly epic

had a mostly away from the computer day this time so i only managed a bit of refinement on some projects. but i still have the rest of this evening to work so i will keep plugging along. i fixed his hands, making them more expressive and i am going to try pushing the perspective a bit. right now is seem a bit bland in it's story telling... not enough impact that "he is surprised" and the scene seems a little "meh"

looking back on the first page of "tigress pounce" the second panel looks REALLY boring and just dragged down the whole page. so a "quick" redo in an attempt to get something more interesting. though i think it still needs work but i will keep working on other panels too so i don't get completely bogged down with one panel

ok got a good work day today. one of the things i managed to get done was a redo of the doe sketch from yesterday. this time using the render for the color base and a paper texture on soft light mode to help unify and brighten up the render....it was a tad dark and muted

when i was working on this i found that two images from my as yet unfinished folios...on from the otter folio and one from the "bird" monster one are corrupted and photoshop does not recognize them as photoshop compatible files. i tried several methods to salvage them but nothing has worked yet. the last thing to try is downloading Gimp and trying to open them there

the line work still looked good on my cintiq so i went right into the coloring. i put the panel on a separate canvas so i could easily flip it to make sure my anatomy and shading still looked good. with so much to get done i got my timer back out so i didn't just get lost in one project for the whole day

so i opened up the first page and thought "UGLY GREEN!!!!!" yeah i did not use a good base color and the trees seem too flat and dead. so i started redoing the panels i thought looked bad. and my cintiq really lets me get into the details without being that pixilated...must be the 4k thing

had a few things to do today, like take my cat to the vet and i got "tech greedy" and tried to find a way to put both my GTX 970 and my new GTX 1070 in my computer at the same time...yeah i know they are not SLI compatible but i was hoping i could dedicate my old GC to my normal monitors and my more powerful one to my Cintiq...though i quickly found out that i would need an upgraded power supply first and two non matching GCs would most likely be unstable. so only a few posts for today <...
