Barbarian Path of the Rune Carver
The Path of the Rune Carver allows barbarians to tap into the ancient and mystical powers of runic magic, a practice often shrouded in secrecy and reverence. These barbarians learn to inscribe archaic runes onto their weapons and armor, each symbol carrying a potent spell locked within. These inscriptions lie dormant until the Runecarver enters a state of rage; it is then that the runes come to life, glowing with ethereal fire and unleashing their enc...

This month, I've got to make some player-facing content for the Adventurer's Arsenal: The Complete Guide to Arctic Survival.
I'm already making some subclasses, but I need a bit more to fill out the book. Looking back at the old splat books of 2e (muh faves), I've added in some content ideas that go beyond the typical "sub-classes and races" wash/rinse/repeat we see in so many 5e splats.
Choose your top three favorite ones. The top five get added to the book.

There's a settlement drop this Sunday, and it will be the Scottish/Viking-inspired village of Arnarhvall. The only thing I know about this location is that it's on the other side of Svatefjell, the Black Mountains. There's a little crop of unnamed ruins to its northwest. Furthermore, it's likely a major trade hub, as two major roads intersect here before crossing the mountain pass to the colder parts of Frostlands.
Let's give this place some life!
In the comments below, leave a on...

This Saturday, I'll be releasing two new subclasses: one for barbarians and one for rangers.
I've come up with 10 ideas for Ranger archetypes using the ol' robot. These are just rough outlines, but at least give you some idea of the way we can go with this.
Pick the one you think sounds the coolest, and it gets made. Voting ends soon, so hop on it!

Rangers of this conclave are masters of survival in snowy, icy environments. ...

Update 8/26/23—It was quite a fruitful day, as I managed to make my way through the next adventure (PINE DOOMS~!) as well as the village of Myrka. I also filled in the blanks on the content release sheet. So you can expect some details on viking warfare, Nordic Pantheons, and other fun stuff.

Hey all!
I'm pivoting a bit away from Witchfinder's Grimoire (it will likely end up as a Forbidden Psalm-style miniatures game) and focusing once more on the type of content you all love.
I've got some winter books on my agenda, and I thought I'd make a fresh batch of content to go with it. Plus, with it being 105+ F here in Oklahoma, it'll be nice to dream of cooler days.
Below, I've listed 14 monsters, each tied to a monster type. Pick the three that you like best. The top...

Hey all!
Happy Sunday. As I’m planning content for WFG, I’m wondering whether I should place the setting in the real world New England circa the mid-1600s (with plenty of supernatural elements) or in a fantasy world that looks an awful lot like 17th century New England, but all the names are changed.

It looks like a close tie between Bolukbasti Grotto and the Dwarven Hall on the last poll. This means the shadow dragon will go into one of those. However, we need an inhabitant for the runner-up, which will debut September 15th.
Ive picked some random monsters from the DMG. Vote for the one that will inhabit either the grotto or the hall.

Using our new system for Dungeons & Lairs, it appears that "spider demons" are winning the current poll (it's actually a yochlol, but SRD, etc.). So Rick and I are making up a "horror-version" of drow. Expect some spooky stuff.
Second place so far is the shadow dragon, which means it gets the September 1st spot. We'll probably make some cool designs for it, too. But before we do that, we'll need a map for its layer.
Below are eight Dyson logos maps that ...

So y'all love Dungeons & Lairs. Awesome! I'll start working on those for releases between now and the end of September.
Only one problem—what monsters should I focus on? The first adventure I'm writing takes place in a Dyson Logos commercial map, Greyrock Tower. Ta da—

Here's what Mr. Dyson had to say about this place.
Looking out over the edge of Triumph Mesa...

Hey folks!
Quick question from you all:
Do you all prefer Dungeons & Lairs style adventures, or would you prefer that I create other types of adventures?
Dungeons & Lairs are drop-in adventures centered around a specific creature, theme, or location.
As opposed to these, I can create event-based adventures (like the one I just did a poll for), or adventures that are part of a longer campaign.
Let me know below. You've got a few opti...

Hey all!
I've been stewing on an idea for the last few days on an adventure epic that goes a little beyond the typical adventure.
Here is the elevator pitch:
The characters all play siblings who, at a young age, lost one of their own. Reuniting twenty years later, they must uncover the mystery of what happened to their sibling and resolve their grief.
It's a very "Mike Flannagan" (Haunting of Hill House, Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight...

Behold, ye seekers of perilous thrills! The Drurdelm Tombs, a harrowing odyssey designed for Fifth Edition, beckons forth a troupe of four to six brave souls, adorned with the might of an average party level of 5. This enigmatic journey shall plunge them into the abyssal maw of the dreaded Drurdelm's Tombs, wherein they shall cross paths with a ghastly array of undead terrors and blasphemous aberrations, destined to whirl them into the very throes of maddening oblivion.

The next adventure on the agenda will be a big horror dungeon romp called Statues of the Thrall Gods. I have kind of a weird idea for this one, making it into a one shot where a group of characters who were childhood friends return to this deadly dungeon years after one of their friends vanished mysterious within.
As such, I'll need some one-word prompts to kick things off. As with the rest of the content I'm putting out lately, this will be part of the forthcoming Witchfinder's Grimoir...

Hey peeps!
I'm still in my "let's try some crazy stuff out" phase, and I figured I'd make something with the MorkBorg aesthetic. Although many of you love MB, I figured I'd also loop it into the 5e rules.
The first adventure I'm doing is a pretty cool tomb with lots of vertically from Dyson Logos titled the Drurdelm Tombs.
In the comments below, leave a one-word prompt. I'll create a dungeon room based on the word you use.
Since this is MorkBorgy, feel free to us...

Hey everyone!
Sorry I've been quiet lately, but I've been toiling away on this little bugger. Essentially, this is the 5e Player's Handbook restructured and reintroduced to present the character-building methods and rules for New Sanctaria. Let me know what you think and what you feel it needs.
The character creation method is a bizarre combo of MorkBorg's "what you're carrying first" system meshed with D&D 5e. Lemme know what you think.
I'll be tweaking this a bit more ...

Hey all!
Trapped Tomb is back at the printers. I keep running into issues with the map, mainly the key being somewhat difficult to read. I've removed the key (hopefully, all you intelligent, beautiful people can deduce from the content what the icons are supposed to be), so fingers crossed.
While working on that, I was reminded that I owe all gold, platinum, and diamond patrons a new book for this month. I've got a few options, mostly tied into Witchfinder content.

In the realm of New Sanctaria, The Misty Hollow Inn stands enveloped by an eerie mist, a beckoning veil that stirs visions of forgotten memories and dearly departed souls. As the tendrils of mist extend toward the woodlands bordering The Wyrd, adventurers' footsteps intertwine with shadowed echoes, while the ethereal haze whispers of ancient spirit...

As I'm digging in on these adventures set in the Witchfinder's Grimoire universe, I wonder which style I should write the adventure in. Typically, we use a standard modern style of dressing the adventure content, using full-color images, etc. However, Witchfinder's Grimoire is inspired by 17th-century New England. During this time, chapbooks were popular. These small books were black and white and usually written for children's entertainment or to share religious ideals. Below is a sample of ...

- Cannibal Spirit
- Corpse Giant
- Corpse Knot
- Crawler
- Cult Fanatic, Bogman

Hey all,
Just woke from a little nap in the Atlanta airport. Lately I've been making witchfinder stuff, but it's mostly monsters and pretty easy to put that into a "folk horror" monster book.
Since you're my primary audience, I was wondering which of my settings—if any—that you prefer.
Vote for one of my settings below. You can also vote for "no setting" where I just create content that you can toss into any setting.

Hey folks,
I'm about to hop on a plane to GenCon (missed my first flight). I'm going to be working on some content this month, most of which I plan to turn into full-length books at roughly 64 pages each.
Keeping that in mind, what sort of content do you want to see? Vote below.
I'll start with the top entry and then work my way through the list for the month. If I can't do them all, then just the top ones will get made. Top entry is the book of the month for Gold+ pat...

Quick update before I head out of town for GenCon. While doing some research into the 1600s and Puritans, I had a chance to dig into Oliver Cromwell some. If you don't know who that is, I recommend looking him up. It's some pretty gnarly stuff.
Anyways, here's my tribute to Mr. Cromwell (along with some other grotey creatures).
Enjoy!

One thing I love about classic fantasy is that magic items are usually super rare and come with horrible curses. Case in point: the One Ring from Lord of the Rings. While New Sanctaria/Witchfinder's Grimoire certainly has magic and the supernatural, magic items aren't always necessarily something the players want to find and use.
This is the start of the magic item section. It expands on the Special Features tables from the DMG (see page 141-143), but customizes it for this 1600s'esque/...
