Poll #361: Pick the first plot for the "Evil Church" adventure

The first adventure will likely end up being the "evil church" scenario. If you haven't been following along (or haven't read between the lines), I'm creating a fantastic version of the Massachusetts Bay Colony circa 1650, right around the time of the Salem witch trials. The proxy for the Puritans is the Church of Celestial Grace, whose leaders are called Shepherds of Yehozael. I've used o...

Poll #360: Which new Witchfinder's Grimoire monster should have an adventure first?

In addition to the other adventures I'm planning (I'm mostly waiting on art), I hope to write some other nifty adventures. Of the ones I posted today, which one do you feel deserves an adventure first? Here's the link if you need to see the selection.

Pick the three you like best. Top three win.

[All Patrons] The Witchfinder's Grimoire: Monster Pack 1

Following up on my last announcement, I figured I'd share a bit of the content that I'm thinking of releasing. I'm going to slowly work at a book that will debut later this year, building content here as a I go. You, my dear patrons, will receive regular posts with the content and see it in its "raw" and early stages.

This first monster pack features a bunch of cool monsters I made over the weekend using art from Rick Hershey (Fat Goblin Games) and Nacho Lazaro. And there's more o...

DMDave's 2023 Plan (Going Forward): Less is More

Hey all!

Probably pretty nuts to share this on the last day of the month, but I want to share with you all that I plan on refocusing my efforts as a creator a bit. Since 2021, I've been focused on putting out a lot of content as quickly as possible, creating a massive database of adventures for you all to enjoy. After 85 or so Dungeons & Lairs, I can say confidently we accomplished that.

However, it's left me wanting something more

Perhaps it was th...

[All Patrons] Witchfinder's Grimoire: The Town of Bear Skull

In the quaint coastal town of Bear Skull, the pious citizens find spiritual guidance under the leadership of Shepherd Seraphina, the revered figurehead of the Church of Celestial Grace. Seraphina is known for her unyielding devotion to Yehovael, her ethereal presence and serene countenance commanding respect and inspiring the townsfolk to remain steadfast in their conservative beliefs. Under her guidance, the locals partake in solemn rituals at the majestic Temple of Celestial Grace, nestled ...

[All Patrons] New Monster: Skeleton Harvester (Construct, CR 1)

Skeleton, Harvester

A haunting figure, resembling a scarecrow, its bony frame draped in tattered robes, stands before you. A horse skull rests atop its slender neck. Its gaunt fingers wield a wickedly curved axe.

In the depths of ancient woods, malevolent witches conjure the harvester skeleton into existence. Fashioned to resemble a chilling scarecrow, the skeletal figure wears tattered robes and cradles a wickedly curved axe in its bony grasp. Witches in...

Call of Suggestions #112 - Folk Horror Sub-Classes

Continuing on the forthcoming folk horror/witchfinder theme, I'm going to start putting together some sub-classes for this setting/guide whilst I wait for Rick and the Lazaros to come up with some monster/adventure art.

What ideas for sub-classes (or even classes) do you all have? Tell me in the comments. Coolest ideas get made.

Thanks!

Poll #359 - Help us choose a name for the next book

So our next book will be a dark fey/folk horror guide that will not only offer adventures and a setting, but also serve as a guide to running dark fey and 16th-century-esque folk horror adventures. It will a bit like a combination of the VVitch, Midsommar, and Pan's Labyrinth.

Rick Hershey and I have been going back and forth on a good name and still haven't landed on anything. So I'm taking it to all of you to vote on what the name should be.

Poll #357 - The Dark, Winding Road to Elfhame

While Badge Quest is kicking into gear, I'm already planning the next Kickstarter for Fifth Edition (for those D&D die-hards out there!) Our last poll had you all picking fey as the desired theme/setting. And since fey often ties into folklore, I figured I'd make it "DARK FEY" Guillermo del Toro style—basically, folk horror.

What is Folk Horror?

If you aren't familiar with the term, folk horror is:

... Horror based on old folklore.

Poll #357 - Minis!

Hey all!

I'm looking to stock minis in my store and will probably do Reaper. The only trouble is that Reaper has over 1,000 minis to stock. Even if I had an unlimited budget, I don't have the space for that many minis. So I want to make sure I stock what folks want.

I haven't used minis in years, but I know folks love 'em. What do you prefer to get when you buy minis for your games? Assuming you have a limited budget, of course. Vote below.

If you don't use/collect minis, pl...

Poll #355 - Adventure Theme for the Next 30 Days

Hey folks!

Sorry for a relatively quiet month. We've got the store up and running and things are running smoothly already. I've been focusing on the upcoming Badge Quest Kickstarter, as well as tightening up the final stuff for GMSG, too. PLUS, Gen Con is on the way.

Having said that, I plan to knock out at least 2-3 more adventures to close out the month.

I'm about to invest a bunch into Reaper minis, so I thought I might write an adventure that actually has minis to ...

Content Coming Soon (Sorry, Busy Couple Weeks)

Poll #354 — Printing Options

One more quick poll, folks.

I've got a few different options for formatting these adventure books. Pick the one that you like the best.

Full-Color Hardcover ($60 MSRP). 192 pages. Basically, this is the same size, price, and quality as the official D&D books. They'd be full color, hardcover, and look super fancy on the inside.  I would only do one of these every couple of months or so.

Poll #353 — Adventure Path/Mini-Campaign for July 2023

Hey all!

Adventure paths and mini-campaigns are pretty hot on the most current poll. And it seems that's been the demand for a while. So with that in mind, I want to create a short adventure path, probably 3 chapters long (probably a 64-page black-and-white book once it's done). I'd release it in four parts over the span of a month.

Keeping that in mind, what sort of mini-campaign do you want to see?

Here are the types of content we've made in the past:
