Hey, peeps,
Thanks for those of you who offered up your OC's recently. I wanted to give you quick glimpse into how they're being used in the Negative Energy Plane book, as I'm actually "baking" them into the story. They're all part of a group called "The Remnants," who, like the characters, are stuck in the Negative Energy Plane.
This is just a spread, and it's not complete or proofed, but I thought it was fun to share.
Enjoy!

A hollow knight is a suit of empty, animated armor, neither undead nor summoned, yet fully capable of independent thought and reasoning. They are most often found as guardians, endlessly carrying out commands long after their creators have perished. A hollow knight appears as a towering warrior clad in plate, seemingly flesh and blood—until one realizes there is nothing inside.
Combat. Hollow knights are skilled warriors, wielding weapons and magic items that do ...

The blackball, or deadly sphere, is an entity of unknown origin—a perfectly featureless black globe, five feet in diameter, that moves silently through the void, disintegrating everything in its path. It has no known intelligence, no clear purpose, and no way to communicate. It does not hunt or stalk, yet it is drawn toward sentient life, floating toward anything that thinks or feels. Whether it is a living being, a force of nature, or something worse is unknown.
Combat. A blackball i...

This is part of a series I'm calling "true undead;" essentially, undead monsters from 2e that I've taken and converted into 5e almost 1:1. This means that undead are true horrors, the type of things characters should avoid instead of this "oh har har it's just a wraith whatever lolololol" that we have now. In old editions, when you say a wraith, you got the FUCK out of there.
Enjoy! ^_^
A wraith is a malevolent, undead spirit, the lingering essence of a powerful ...

A demilich is not a lesser form of the lich but rather its final, inevitable evolution. It is what remains when the physical husk of undeath becomes obsolete when the pursuit of knowledge stretches beyond the limits of corporeal form. In most cases, all that remains of a demilich is a single skull, its surface pitted and worn with age, often embedded with glowing gems in place of teeth—crystalline anchors that still pulse with necrotic power. The rest of its body has crumbled to dust, scatt...

Hey all,
I need you all to generate some ridiculous character concepts. In the comments below list:
- Your character’s name
- Class and species
- Three words to describe their appearance
- One personality quirk
Keep it clean. No obvious political references. Don’t be too anachronistic. And keep it short. No walls of text.
Charlie, I’m looking at you. 👀
Go!

The Corroded are a grim and wretched order, their bodies ravaged by the slow march of entropy. Their flesh is marred by open sores, festering boils, and half-healed wounds that never fully close, a reflection of their belief that all things must rot and break. Many among them cough wetly, their breath rattling with unseen infections, yet they do not falter. Their bodies, though diseased and failing, have grown resistant to poison, plague, and sickness, enduring where others would collapse. Th...

Hey fam,
I've been a fan of Dungeons & Dragons for a long, long time. Not as long as some, but definitely longer than most.
And while I love the creative folks at Wizards of the Coast (Amanda is a friend I see a few times a year, and I've talked to Chris before), I can't help but feel that two of their biggest releases in the last five years were... lacking.
Namely Spelljammer and Planescape.
But it's not their faul...

I was wondering something recently... how many of you actually run the adventures I write?
Or do you just like to read it?
Either way is fine, but knowing which you prefer will help me know how to write it.
If you're a runner, I want to try to make it concise and to-the-point without a lot of drawn-out descriptions, etc.
But if you're a reader, perhaps I should stretch out some of the details and give it more of a narrative thread.
Let me know below.

Crowdfunding is dumb.
(Every time I do one, something goes wrong, and I look like an idiot for not delivering on time. Then I'm in the weeds for, like... six months trying to get it out. UGH. No more.)
THEREFORE, everything in this campaign is already written, printed, and ready to ship. I’m just using Backerkit because running ads and shipping all this epic loot is way easier with them.
This campaign? It’s stacked. Weâ...

Hey all,
I'm about 1/4 the way done with this monstrous megadungeon/intro to the Negative Energy Plane adventure, Thirteen Nails in the Mouth of God. I've got the boiler plate, lead-up stuff, and first two levels complete. But there's still quite a bit to go.
How do you want me to release it? Vote below.

OH SNAP! I'm doing Dyson Logos' Iseldec's Drop because I'M A CRAZY PERSON. If you aren't familiar (don't worry, it's pretty niche), Iseldec's Drop is one of Dyson Logos' (the same Dyson who does pro WotC maps these days) megadungeons. It has 23 levels plus a side level, and I've decided that THIS will be the setting for the 8th-level adventure titled THIRTEEN NAILS IN THE MOUTH OF GOD which introduces the ...

Unless you’ve been living under a voidstone rock, you probably know the next big focus is the Negative Energy Plane.
I need adventures. I used the ol’ robot to come up with some weird sounding adventure names in the style of David Lynch (RIP).
Pick three you like.

Hey fam,

Leave a single word in the comments. I’ll make a room based on it.
1) Keep it clean
2) One word per patron
3) No proper nouns

Hey friends (especialy Electrum/VTT lovers),
I just spoke with Bree (the lovely person who runs CS and makes our VTT packages) and we agree that it's a whole lot easier to release shorter VTT packs, 5 pages or so, with stock SRD monsters. SO I got to thinking—what if I just made content directly for that. AND THEN I thought... why not make them into a new Neverending Dungeon series?
Yaaaay!
So here's the plan: I'm going to create an adventure that's e...

On the outside, Elazar Manor seems like any other boring manor house. But below the vintage Victorian layout and sheet-covered furniture hides a dark secret.
But what?
In the comments, give me a one-word prompt. I'll take your word and use it to design rooms in this flashy little house.
Some rules:
1) One word per patron
2) Keep it clean
3) No proper nouns
I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

What up, peoples,
One of the "adventures" this month is less an adventure and more of a... interesting location. It's the Shattered Glyph Tavern in the Abyssal Crossroads, Mortisphere, The Negative Energy Plane.
Constructed from scavenged stone, wood, and shattered crystal shards, the Shattered Glyph Tavern is a gathering point for mercenaries, smugglers, and planar adventurers. Its dimly lit interior is marked by broken glyphs carved into the walls, many of which stil...

Hello, my dearest Patrons,
I'm about to kick off writing Broadsword #26, Guide to the Negative Energy Plane. I'm trying to decide the best format for this book and what information to include. I have a few ideas on how I want to split it up. Below, I've listed sort of my favorite formats from the history of D&D. Pick the format you like best.

This organizational method usually puts a rough introduction of lore, then player options, GM options, an adventu...

I'm about to wrap up the formatting for SHRINE OF THE EMPEROR OF BONES for its release on the Backerkit. Then it's off to Mixam where it'll be printed before the thing even ends.
BUT... I've got two interior covers that badly need some fun stuff on them. Sure, I could leave them blank, but for a few cents more per copy, I'd rather just put something on them.
But what? WHAT?!
Vote, you heathens!
