Instead of suggesting levels, I decided to roll a d20 to come up with the level I'll do. I got 5th.
So that's out of the way. But what should the theme be? Give me your wildest ideas for a theme based on "maze of the storm lady."
Also, dang watabou... not much of a maze with only 9 rooms, is it? Gonna have to figure something out for that!

This week, I'll start working on a cool adventure with Tom Gibbons (@TomCartos) that takes place in a medieval museum. One of the big set pieces in this adventure is a large triceratops skeleton in the west wing of the museum. Naturally, it's perfect for something that comes to life and tries to kick the butts of the characters. Doesn't really need much more explanation than that, eh?
Edit: fixed a couple typos.

One thing I've noticed over the last couple of months is that the demand is pretty high for adventures. So what I think I might do is focus primarily on those on here. Here's sort of a rough idea of what I'm thinking:
Daily adventure content. Basically, I'll release something daily that's either a tiny dungeon map, a NED room, a trap room, or something else so there's something daily.
Weekly "big adventures." These will be based on collabs I've go...

Hey all!
Some folks ask about what I do at my day job. I write for a tech company that creates software for e-commerce sellers. Just this week, I started a series that shares the steps I took in building DMDave and everything else tied into that. While it's not my typical content here on DMDave, I figured I might as well share it so you can get a look in on what I do. Plus, if you're involved in art/writing/content creation, you might find it useful.
(Don't worry, I fully expect t...

Hey everyone!
Some awesome news today as RPG cartographer extraordinaire Tom Gibbons (@tomcartos) and I have just agreed to a major collaboration creating new adventures each month. He does the maps, I do the words.
Our first big project together is tentatively titled "Knight at the Museum." Tom's already created the maps for it. Below, you can see the low-rez/watermark versions of what he's offering:

Mindscrew warlocks—they call themselves patchheads, blankies, or whateverlocks—are insane. Or brilliant. Neither. And both. Sometimes their effects are felt but they are never seen until the end, revealing themselves with a cackle and a bow. Other times, they kick down the door, reverse gravity, and break your mind while staring directly into your frightened eyes.

Today, to celebrate Patron's Day, I put up a call for requests. I got 26 responses! Wowza!
I figured I'd then offer up a poll to see what I make first. I should start digging in around 8:00pm or so.
I hate to cut out a bunch of the stuff since it goes towards IP or things I probably will turn my focus away from (sorry, folks, but Gods of Wandrossa is dead).
Everyone gets as many votes as they like and it ends at 8:00 pm. Note that a bunch of these are from gold patrons alrea...

Hey y'all,
Been a busy week—as it always is when I'm working on a TSH adventure—but today is Patrons Day! Wheee!
Conveniently, it's also request Tuesday. So what sort of requests would you like to see made?
Let me know in the comments below.

Still plugging along on the super adventure for the month. Right now it’s clocking in around 60 some pages.
Regardless I hope to have some new stuff tomorrow.

Boy oh boy. Check out that word count in the corner there. You Tether was huge? This sucker's looking to clock in at 55 or more pages.
Of course, now comes the fun part: editing and formatting! Oh, and like... the 12+ players handouts I gotta make.
But hey... do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life!
This bad ass adventure will be out Thursday, folks. Stay posted.

Oh yeah... this sucker is already up to about 40-pages of content with likely another 20 or so to go.

I love hex-crawl exploration in Fifth Edition. It's a lot cooler when both the players and the Gm have no idea what's in store. I had kinda a cool idea recently (well, cool to me at least) where Abby didn't have a set map. But instead, you can only reveal what's on the hex you're on. There'll be points of interest, etc., but otherwise, it's totally random and generated the game goes.
The rules will have random charts, etc, but otherwise... flip the hex and see what's up.
I might e...

Welcome to the Neverending Dungeon! The adventure starts when characters wake in a dungeon with no recollection of how they got there. Each room of the dungeon is loaded with traps, monsters, puzzles, treasure, and more. As time goes on, I'll create more and more rooms, building out at least one room per week plus an additional room for every 10 patrons that follow my Patreon account.
You are free to play the dungeon as it lies, or you can take the individual puzzles, traps, and room la...

Fifth Edition has a lot of cool elements to it that GMs can use: combat, exploration, and, of course, plenty of role play. These are often considered the four pillars of a tabletop RPG. However, I believe that there is a fourth that's just as important: problem solving and critical thinking. And it is arguably the most difficult of the four to plan properly.
This article goes in-depth on how to create puzzles for Fifth Edition, first, introducing common themes, then delivering a step-by...

The Serpent Men are humanoid reptiles who possess the head of a snake. They are magical creatures with many abilities, but the one they use most commonly is their ability to cast illusions upon themselves in order to appear as a regular human. According to some legends, the spirit of a mortal killed by a Serpent Man becomes his slave upon death.

Looking for ways to trip up those pesky, over-powered characters that are stomping through your campaign? The traps detailed in this series focus on effects that target imbalanced groups.
The fifth entry is called Magnetic Personality. This trap specifically targets creatures who wear metal armor. While strong characters may be able to avoid the deadly parts of the trap, a well-balanced party will excel against it.

The latest Team Superhydra adventure has gobbled up a bunch of my bandwidth, so you may have noticed there's been a hold on some of the daily content. The adventure, by the way, is sitting at 16,000 words and I haven't even started on the final dungeon. This is looking to be the first adventure I've created that will take characters through more than one level. Now that most of that material is knocked out, I'm going to turn back to focusing on content for the week.
I'm pushing Ab...

Doing requests tomorrow! Let me know what you're interested in seeing. If you've already made a request this month, then you can't play! But it's open to all others.
Please make sure to review the rules on the front page in the About section.
Also, a new rule: the first person to request—regardless of tier—gets their request made.
Happy requesting!
