The construction of this coat is quite unique. Look at these weird armpits:

My Halloween costume WIP

It occurs to me that except for some sneak peeks in the Discord, I haven't said anything about my Halloween costume for this year! 🎃

I had intended to just wear one of my Sabrina outfits, but Aura was determined that we were going to put a group together so... Here we are!

Wowie, do I ever feel cute as Sabrina! As many of you know, red is my favourite colour to wear, so her outfits make me so happy. I can't wait to finish her coat.

Daphne sneak peeks!

This set will be a final send-off to a costume I made years ago that never got photos! I might remake her more tidily in the future. Or perhaps Velma?

I am making some pop art-style pieces to go with this set as well! It suits the spooky vibes and bright colours of her outfit, methinks. <3

Officer Jenny teaser

I'm not sure when I will upload the Jenny set - not likely for Halloween, at least - and I didn't have a selfie for her, so I decided to edit one of my favourite shots for you. I also played around with a few filters for different moods. My photography on its own is usually pretty flat, so I like to add a little pizzazz in post.

I am back from my stay at the Airbnb! I had a great time and took photos of several cosplays: Sabrina, Officer Jenny, Daphne, Beth, Ali, Nia, and Chocola. I also shot a bunch of stuff to use for composite pieces so the Kat sisters can be together at last - how's this first edit?

For now, I'll be focusing on Sabrina and Daphne so they'll be ready for Spooky Season!

My photographer friend, Matthew Goertz, came by to help me ...

Sabrina coat WIP #2

And we're off! The wool and lining materials are cut. Cutting two layers of wool at once was VERY painful, ow.

I'm using Burda Style pattern #7072. I haven't used Burda patterns often, and it's already proving to be a learning experience. But the pattern is basically perfect for her coat, so I won't have to worry about many alterations to the shapes.

I was worried about sewing the wool, but it actually sews nicely. I really like how the coat is coming together so far. :)

Sabrina closet cosplay!

I say that, but I did get this secondhand sweater specifically for her... But the skirt and the rest of the accessories I will be wearing will be 100% from my own stuff.

In lieu of Salem, I will have a... furry... cat pumpkin to pose with. A pumpkitty, if you will.

I will be wearing a wig with this cosplay, but I figured my current hair was good enough for some quick snaps. :3 Loving this outfit!

Current Project: Sabrina's coat!

I wanted to put a couple of the teenage witch's cute outfits together for the spooky season! I have her cheerleader uniform and an edgy outfit ready to go, but I wanted to actually sew something too.

I have always loved the red swing coat Sabrina wears often in the series and kept trying to find something like it. I even asked a friend to make it... Last month, I found a sewing pattern on Ebay and finally decided just to attempt it myself! Now, it may seem like a simple project compared...

Nia's ears and tail arrived~

Calendars? 👀

2022 may finally be the year that I sell calendars! I'd like your opinion on the style and layout... Would you prefer a horizontal (left) or vertical (middle) wall calendar? What about a desk calendar (right)?

Updates and future plans!

I have been focusing on my backlog of mail, so I have yet to finish the Ram photo set - so sorry! Almost everything has been dropped off at the post office, so I can get back to her now. :)

 Since I have no idea when this year - if at all - I will be able to attend a con and get photos of my cosplays, I have taken a friend's suggestion and booked an Airbnb to use as a pretty setting. I'm really looking forward to it and intend to take photos of as many cosplays as possible. <<...

Ram sneak peek!

Here's the first edit! I might add some fun effects to it later. Also included are two selfies.

This shoot was so delayed by weather, life, and housemates hahaha... <<;; There WILL be a few bunny Ram photos, too - I managed to wear the suit for a while.

Lenore bodice WIP

These photos are from entirely different stages (and feature entirely different lighting hahaha). The full shot on the mannequin is from before I trimmed down the neckline, and the first photo with me and the wig/ears is after the trim but before the tidying up with a facing piece. The last three show the process to make nice tidy neckline - I just haven't done the final stitches because I want to make it a little pointer in the center.

Still in love with this fabric, but boy is it THIC...

IMPORTANT - Closure of Patreon tiers

I did some soul-searching in May and gave myself until today to make a final decision. It's become increasingly obvious to me that between the pandemic and my general mental health (and living situation), I haven't had the energy to keep on top of Patreon duties AND actually work on my cosplay projects. My fabric arrived for her little bolero... cat paw... thing... It's so fluffy and the edges shed like crazy, so I can't wait to get it sewn up to prevent anymore fluff explosions. ^^;;

I also now have Ali Kat and Jedi Yang stickers for patron packages. <3 I remembered to put my logo on them this time. <<

Wiggin' out!

I have had some fun with wigs recently, including this super colourful delivery!

We had stuff for characters from Sailor Moon, Tekken, Ai: The Somnium Files, Space Dandy, Persona, Cardcaptor Sakura, and even Harry Potter. Possibly more, as some are multi-purpose!

We have had a very warm couple of days and my body needs a chance to adjust. Gotta find the energy to get into cosplay. May need to get AC for the first time in my life...
