BONUS BASES PLAN UPDATE

Howdy folks!! Wanted to give a breakdown on the plan moving ahead for bases now that I’m largely on my feet & ready to go :3

Firstly though I want to again apologize for the serious lack of bases in the past couple years and thank everyone for their patience- time & money were a huge factor and I also think I had to reign myself in from. Insanely sized projects that I struggle to finish 🥲

Got this guy edited & ready to go as well!! Technically yesterday but I forgot to post the draft… WHOOPS

You can see in the beginning it was originally a random realism-ish Finn doodle that I revised a few months later and COMPLETELY overhauled on a whim fueled by my medieval fantasycore board on Pinterest- hatching & this kind of etching style is something I’m constantly enamoured with so taking the time to try it out was hugely rewarding :3

ENTER THE MEAT MAN (CUSTOM)

Big customs with big refs are some of my favourite things to do and getting to make one for one of my FAVOURITE medias is the cherry on top fr 😭

This Scanlan custom for beastiix was SOOO incredibly enjoyable to work on and I got REALLY into those details- final time was over 31 hours which feels insane after the fact but it was well worth the time getting in those gnome anatomy studies so he ended up looking exactly how I’d envisioned :3

ORNAMENTAL (REWARD)

Finished up last weeks reward for Sibtronica before I have to head out to work again!! Surprisingly I’ve never used symmetry for these sketches but for what I had in mind it was PERFECT- I always love doing wings as complex (and at times tedious) as they can be the payoff is more than worth it 🦋

Actually started & finished this reward all today which feels damn impressive!! REALLY PLEASED WITH IT ALSO- this butterfly critter belongs to neptunecollie 🦋

got all the lined crayon comms colored today in addition to some ref work & graphics for my other job!! Real stoked to start finishing these three- then I can message a couple more people to take on some new ones for next week >:3

Tuesday WIPS!!

Got basically the WHOLE week off so I am gettin some hardcore work in!! Got the crayon & reward sketched yesterday, colored the reward in & finished Scan’s flats today :3 REAL HAPPY WITH EM ALL excited to finish this ref up!! Going to break for dinner here & probably do some sketching into the evening before I call it a day💛

I’ve always wanted a green-ish OC but not like sparkle green and I had a vision of tattoo-esque markings for a bit AND IT ALL CAME TOGETHER SO WELL FR!! No name yet but I’m invested I like dis guy :3

I have a Pinterest folder just for visuals that inspire me, and a MASSIVE chunk of it has become gorgeous pieces of hatched & etching style graphite work that are soooo so beautiful that I really wanted to take this old random sketch and turn it into a test of the elements in my own style!! The end result is something I couldn’t possibly be happier with- I think it looks SOOOO fuck...

This guy was so so lovely to draw he checks SO many boxes for my fave character features… and detailing that mirror was FUN

So unlike around Christmas I WILL actually have the time to do themed art for February thank fuck!! Wanted to get peoples thoughts before I committed to one or the other- originally was dreaming up YCH concepts but it’s been ages since I did any batch chibi work which I thought may be fun? Both would have 2 & 3 OC options (could definitely do more with the crayon chibi batch, as well as single OCs)!

Now that I’m decently caught up with rewards, I’ve been circling back to finish the last remnants of themed work from the holidays now that it’s not insane!! First alt comm completed is for my buddy Stiitch who has the COOLEST fursona- they’re already undead, so amping up the theme & tossing some new elements in was a super cool project >:3c

Want to get the last few done asap provided I can make myself be LESS picky with my sketches rn lmAO will do my best!!

Another big ref commission COMPLETED and under my belt for themed refs!! I DIDN’T REALIZE I PUT 41 HOURS INTO THIS… completely my own doing I got REALLY into painting the postcard background & making the stamp and it was WELL worth the time!! Working on this one for treepeanut has been such a joy and I’m really happy with the final product ☀️💕
