January Comic Poll

Hey all, hope you’re having a great week so far. I’ve been coming up with some thoughts for what I’d like to do this month for a comic and I realized something I’ve always wanted to try but haven’t really explored before is some kind of solo story with a character pleasuring themselves. So I gathered a few of my characters up that I thought might be interesting subjects and am putting up a flash poll for the next little while, so vote for all of the options you’d like to see!

I kind of fused the gen 1 and gen 3 designs together, this version contains elements of both. June goes on another personal journey, this time she is navigating the dating landscape in some way. I feel in tone and style this is very reminiscent of an older June comic I did called “Bored Of Sex?!” so I guess you could call this a sort of spiritual successor?

Why Don’t You Have a Partner June?! - Preview

First five pages up as a public preview, the full comic should be done Thursday. I also feel like I may go back at the end and do some adjustments to the palette on many of the pages, as I feel a bit like I’ve been struggling with the colors. Maybe if I give it a day and take a second look I’ll be able to figure it out haha.

Edit: well I’ve been knocking out pages and even going back and adding details to pages that were already done but it looks like all the lineart is completed! Next step is colors, and I actually haven’t technically thought of a good scheme yet. I think I might do a few tests first. Also I think I’m gonna do at least one more fanart poll this month too.

Here’s the first few thumbs for this month’s comic, not sure exactly how long it’ll be yet but the plot is about June’s friend Abby trying her hardest to help her find a potential long term partner. June is no stranger to casual encounters but dating is something she has little experience with. Will she find love at the end of the comic? Wait to find out.

I am actually pretty happy with how this turned out, I know my digital painting skills are still extremely unpolished atm so I tried to essentially just use it sparingly here, but it’s something I’d love to actually try and learn eventually. I’ve been creating art with strong inks and outlines for so long it’s hard to actually approach drawing from a completely different angle.
