July Comic Concepts

Hey all, hope you’re having a great week so far. I’m personally getting ready to take a short trip to the great outdoors this weekend but before I go I want to have a poll up to determine this month’s comic project.

I’m going to reiterate a few of the story options from the last few polls for the benefit of new patrons but I’m going to add a few new ones.

Bombchu Bowling Girl

To perhaps very few people’s surprise Bombchu Girl destroyed the poll. I still stuck in a cameo from the Cuccoo Lady too while I was at it. ;)

June Fanart Poll #3 - Zelda Shopkeepers/Merchants (48 hour poll)

Error won the last flash poll, so I’ll be working on that right away, although he’s the character with the least official reference material so that’ll be a challenge for sure.

Nabooru

Had some fun playing with distress layers on this to get a cool vintage look. I also thought about drawing her closer to her Ocarina of Time design but decided it would be fun to modernize her a bit similar to how Gerudo are portrayed in some modern Zelda games like BotW. This is also one of the rare examples where I like the concept sketches almost as much as the final product so I’ll be sure to include high res versions of those in my Google Drive folder along with a time lapse video.

This was actually pretty hard to narrow down for me, it seems there’s a lot less even remotely popular male Zelda minor characters across the series than female, and among that small group an even smaller group of characters that most people want to see porn of (I know you exist out there Barnes stans!).

Disco Flashback

A mother recalls a sexy story of her youth from the 1970’s, a time when disco was king.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported me on Patron throughout the past two and a half months as I worked on this. I appreciate everyone who donated even a single dollar. I am glad to finally be able to post this comic in it’s entirety. I hope it was well worth the wait!

Disco Flashback Character - April

Saved the main character for last, April May is June’s mom and obviously the comic’s pov. Personality-wise I wanted her to come across as a bit air-headed but definitely not dumb. She’ll also tease people but without being mean as well.

One of the most important characters in the story and I never even got the chance to drop her name unfortunately, but for those interested she goes by Ima Ryder.

She’s one of the founding members of Paradise, and it was her specifically who came up with the concept. She scouts for talented and interesting people in the club scene so she can give them invitations to Paradise.

June Fanart Poll #1 - Zelda Girls (72 hour poll)

So the new way I’ve decided to do polls is by having multiple smaller polls throughout the month. Having less options makes it easier to not split the votes as badly. This month is arbitrarily going to be all Zelda related side characters, so no Zelda, Link or Ganondorf in sight. I hope you enjoy! Disco Flashback - Thumbnails and Roughs Thread

Edit (5/31/2021): Pencils and script is 100% done, I opted to not do full pencils on the last few pages because my thumbnails were already detailed enough to use. This version is already pretty close to what the finished product will look like and is pretty much a readable version of the story but I’ll be updating with inks and colors soon. Hopefully if I work fast I can have it 100% finished soon, but let me know what you think and if you have suggestions!

Fujiko Mine - Fanart Poll Winner

Here’s the poll winner character from last month, Fujiko Mine from Lupin III. There have been a ton of different designs for this character over the years but I’m personally a big fan of how her recent spinoff anime “The Woman Called Fujiko Mine” looked, especially with all those cool crosshatched shadows.
