Gumroad Shop News

Hey all! I’m sure many of you have heard of the news with Gumroad recently and their decision to remove all NSFW content. I have already gone ahead and unpublished all of my comics, so if you’ve already purchased any of them you can still download them again for the time being.

I am in the process of setting up an itch.io shop, all I need to do is wait for my tax information to clear and I can start reuploading comics there. I am still not sure exactly where I will be able to sell my physical books for the time being but in the meantime, if you want to grab one you can always just dm me and I can ship you a copy personally!

March Update 2024

Hello everyone! Apologies for the late formal update post, but there’s a few things I’d like to mention (hopefully) briefly.

First of all, $6 patrons have already gotten access to all the WIP rough pages of the new comic (tentatively titled New Roommate). If you’ve checked them out the first thing you probably noticed was that the new comic is SUPER long. In fact it’s currently sitting at 62 pages, which is a new record in terms of length. I’ll be chipping at it as often as I can over the next little while but I can say for sure that it will take a bit longer than the usual comic turnaround of approximately 1 month or so. That said, I hope people like it when it does get finished! Personally I am really excited for it as I believe it may be my best comic to date when it’s out. Also, this brings me to what I am expecting to accomplish this month.

This month, I’d like to:

• Ink as many pages of New Roommate as possible
• Finish and release the short Movie Flick Chick comic I started back in February
• Draw some one-off original pieces, including possibly some pictures of my OCs that I haven’t drawn in awhile (Or just more casual non-committal pieces of art in general)
• Fanart poll as usual (maybe do 2 polls this month to make up for less finished comics???)
• I’ve also considered going through and cataloguing all my posts into collections or something to make it easier to access old stuff, especially for new patrons.

I will also say that for those wondering about an update on my shoulder issue from February, at the moment it seems to be feeling much better. I have actually rearranged my office at home a bit so that I can work in a way that is much better for both my arm and my back as well. I am still not using my arm quite as much because I don’t want to risk a relapse but I am able to draw much more freely again. I feel very grateful for those of you who gave me kind words and support during the last few weeks, it really did help me out a lot.

Finally I have one more thing I think I’d like to announce for now in regards to something a bit further down the line. As many of you know I released the Movie Flick Chick book early this January, and the release was a great success! I even completely sold out of the first printing and had to do an emergency reprint. Well I have been thinking about it and I want to announce that my second book release will be a collection of June stories, coinciding with the completion of the New Roommate comic. I still haven’t locked anything down yet, but I’d like the collection to at least contain Backstage, Why Don’t You Have A Partner June?! and Mutual Masturbation, as well as New Roommate. Not sure exactly when to expect that book release but let’s say for now perhaps early summer? After all, I would still need to go back and reformat all those older comics like I did for the Movie Flick Chick comics on the last book.

Anyways, that’s really all for now! I’ll have more updates for you soon, as well as a fanart poll shortly. I’m currently a little low on inspo for poll options so maybe I’ll open it up for suggestions on characters or themes? Comment below if you’ve got any.

New Roommate - Script (WIP)

Hey everyone! Hope you’ve all been having a good week so far. I haven’t been doing a lot of drawing recently (for obvious reasons) but I have been writing and I thought I’d share something new with you all if you’ve been a patron for a while.

If you know my usual production style I tend to actually start comics by doing rough thumbnails first then filling in the dialogue later. Well since my arm has been preventing me from drawing very much I didn’t want to just wait around for it to get better before starting this new story so I decided to try scripting the whole thing out first.

So feel free to check it out and read the whole thing if you are interested!  I attached it below in this post. I think once I get to actually drawing it I still might make a few changes if I feel it’s too wordy or something (I feel that may happen if I script first). I’m actually really pumped to start it because I think this one is going to be a really big one.

Spent a few days chipping this one off while my arm has been healing this past week. Take a close look on this one if you’re a details fan. I like hiding halftones into work sometimes, and think it makes a really nice texture. I also found adding slight chromatic aberration and noise to a finished piece can make it look pretty cool sometimes.

Did a bit of cleaning up and blocking out on one of the previous Jessie sketches. I was trying to channel a bit of early Sugimori style artwork too, since that’s my favorite visual style from anything Pokémon related.

Fan Comic Interest Check 2024

Hey everyone! I’ve been wanting to do another interest check on some ideas for a potential erotic fan comic down the road.

If you missed them in the past I’ve previously done a couple fan comics, there was the Scott Pilgrim one and of course more recently the Legend of Zelda one too. I’m still mainly focused on developing comics with my own characters as a priority above all else, but I kind of appreciate doing these kind of little fan comic experiments every now and then.

I probably won’t get around to one until later in the year but I always like throwing up a casual poll of some kind to gauge interest. I’ll list a few properties that I would be kind of inclined to cover but feel free to comment below if you’ve got a suggestion for something you think would fit well with my art style and I’ll consider it! I’m not necessarily saying whichever series gets the most votes is guaranteed to get made, I am mostly just using this to gauge which ones seem popular or not. The last time I did one of these polls most of the series were voted on pretty evenly but Zelda won by like an enormous margin lol.

Anyways, feel free to vote for more than one series as well! You can vote multiple times on this poll, and it won’t have an end date. A lot of these are carried over from last year’s poll but I swapped a few out for some new ones.

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for being patient with me as my arm has been healing the past few weeks. When able I’ve been doing some light sketching of Jesse, this month’s fanart poll winner. Happy Jill Valentine’s Day everyone! This was an older sketch I never got around to finishing and decided to do a cleanup of and post today.

I went over it a little bit more in detail over on Twitter, but I also wanted you guys to know that this week my arm and shoulder started freezing up on me and became incredibly painful. So because I want to retain the future use of my arm I’m unfortunately going to have to rest myself for a bit to fully recover. I’ve been to the hospital and  will be undergoing some physiotherapy later this week so I am hoping it will be a pretty smooth recovery (if I hadn’t caught this early it would have been much worse). Will definitely be keeping everyone updated on how things go!

February Update 2024

Hey everyone! Very sorry for the late update. The past 2 weeks have been full of a lot of ”stuff” and I’ve been meaning to make a proper update post for a while.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for grabbing a copy of The Movie Flick Chick Volume 1, because the first printing sold out so fast I had to quickly order a second order within days of it’s official release. It’s been really cool seeing people posting photos of their books as well! Really makes it all feel so real to me. I have been thinking of a few ideas for what I’d like to do for the next print project, but as of now, nothing is locked in. If there is a comic you would like to see get a physical release one day, I’d love to hear it though!

Secondly, in regards to my next comic project, this month I want to do a new story featuring June and Abby getting a new roommate. I think this will be a nice fun and simple followup to my last story which was quite a bit more dramatic.

I have mentioned it in the past but I always feel like each new story is in some ways a reaction to my last one, but I can’t help my brain always seems to want to deviate so much! At least this way you guys always get something different from me.

I was a little disappointed I didn’t have a brand new comic out in January but on top of fulfilling book orders and the general chaos of the holiday season, I think I really needed the mental break to refresh. At least I was still doing artwork to some degree.

To wrap things up, I would briefly just like to mention some of the things I’d like to accomplish in the next little while. I actually purchased Procreate Dreams recently and have fiddled with it a bit. So perhaps down the line you’ll start seeing more animations from me. I actually used to do simple loops a few years ago but as some people know I do all my work on my iPad (I do not actually even own a PC currently), and well regular Procreate isn’t really the BEST program for major animations (understatement). So far Dreams looks like a good improvement but I haven’t had too much time with it yet.

I also want to put up a few more polls this month. I meant to do a bunch all in January, not just the character poll, but unfortunately time just got away from me it seems. I especially want to get some feedback on more books in the future!

Movie Flick Chick - Convention Interlude (WIPs)

Not a usual sexy comic, but something new I’d like to try out! This year, inbetween regular comic updates, there are short little story beats I would like to depict to connect some comic stories together. These won’t be on any particular schedule and will likely be a few pages at most, but the intention is to tell a bit of background story for certain characters inbetween major comics.

For now I have a few Movie Flick Chick mini stories in mind as a lead-up to a bigger story that will happen a bit later on in the year while I focus on some other characters. So yeah, hope you enjoy these little comics as they come out (even if no one gets naked in them lol).
