Page 62 Interrogation

Even though it's just been about 60 pages, the plans for this story have changed a lot. The little contradictions stand out more because there's so few pages. Eventually there's going to be something of a canonical reset, I don't mean we lose all the progress so far, I mean that in-story there's a reason the day partially restarts, We've already seen a rewrite happen with Aqua, we saw snippets of the new timeline, but not a full on alteration of the story.

Taxonomy of Monsters/Fetishes - Fusion

A long while ago I posted a journal where I talked about how horror themes and certain furry themes tend to overlap. We've all seen furry art featuring transformation, cities being crushed/destroyed by wide-hipped giants, swarms of whatever is swarming (I prefer bimbo plagues, but I've seen some art with breast expanding leech parasites akin to "They Came From Within"). Sorry about the delay on this one in particular, I was aiming to use the pinup last month along with this to try and take things easier, get caught up so I wasn't a few days behind. It was not easier and the pinup took almost the full month to do.

Amanda-Office Building

So this image is one I've been working years on, doesn't look like it but it was mostly just a sketch for a long time, and then this month I finalized it and assembled the background in 3d as was the original plan.

Easter 2020

Could be in poor taste making a bunch of medical themed art during an epidemic that is very likely to affect friends and family in the near future, but artists and the like tend to express their feelings through what they do, and right now everyone needs some kinda outlet.

A fun idea

New $3 tier

the $3 tier is identical to the $5 tier because we're replacing the old one with this one, and it looks like when you switch over it doesn't automatically reduce how much you pay a month, so double check to make sure it's $3 now! I can't switch you guys over to the $3 tier myself, sorry about the hassle.

I also tried lowering the amount without adding a new tier, the text box was greyed out and inaccessible. So, we're stuck manually swapping things over.

Holstaur

This month's comic pages are going kinda slowly, wasn't going to get one of the pages done in time so I drew this to make up for the second page being late. I'll keep working at the first page though! Just gotta finish the background, then start on the characters.

It's a city scene, I've never had an easy time with backgrounds and now we're shifting away from trees to buildings and structure and all that. I need to find some ways around this problem quick.

Testing Features

Clip Studio Paint has a lot of manga drawing functions, I wanted to try out some of the stuff I haven't had a chance to yet.

Planning to reduce the 2nd tier amount

Given that every update is a comic page I post online within 2-4 weeks, or is posted simultaneously on my main art account, I was thinking about reducing it from $5 to $3-2, let me know what your opinions are of this. I'm also thinking about altering the $10 tier, but that's still undecided and will be left alone until I sort out some things. For now, just let me know what you guys think about the planned change.

This will be the new page 53, "The Call" will be page 55 now. The reason for the change was the lack of a satisfying outcome after all the buildup we had so far. Technically this could have been a single page on its own, but I want the comic to stay consistent as much as possible, to highlight when rules are broken.

It's so much easier not drawing four characters in a scene. I already knew that earlier, but sometimes the story calls for a lot of different ones all at once.

Pages 51-52

I learned that the reason pillow-shading is a problem is because light doesn't smoothly blend over the whole surface, the blending comes from the scale of the light source. With interior lighting it would be smooth but with a tiny circle like the sun you get a much sharper edge on the shadows. I'll try to get the shading sorted out better in future, fur and skin has more tones than is just caused by light and shadow, there's complex interactions I might have been doing wrong this whole time. ...

I'm not certain if patreon scales these down like FA does but if it does then I'll keep using the attachments as I was before.

Stream Background doodle

I wanted to experiment with adding background elements to the streams, because the UI in art programs takes up a lot of screen space. I can't have too much moving stuff on screen because my internet would turn the stream into a blurry mess, so I'm just trying these out to see if stationary but complex images are fine.

Tarot/Playing/Game card design, WIP

Working on an idea for a card game, wanted to get something down on paper to work out the idea some more. This doesn't look so bad but if I were to get this printed I'd need to do some trial runs to see if they're too dark or whatever. I'd also need to research to see if there's a way to print actual gold foil, and how that looks as a real card compared to this fake gold.

I think I only got one of these updates done in the last month, I think I was running late and had to do a bunch of stuff in the first week, but I'm also not certain. We're nearing the end guys! Two more of these and then we go back to two comics monthly.

Hero-Manda (Eleutherios)

Eleutherios means freedom and liberty, and can refer to the gods Dionysus or Eros. Fitting, for a hero version of Amanda, with her power to make people hallucinate and heal and so on.

This version of her has one of the earliest alterations to her life, in this her father never becomes a giant, which would destroy their world and force herself and her mother to flee to another, eventually reaching Coveille and on and on.

However, her father is still corrupted by the mental changes...

July Pinup Picture

Because I was so slow getting the donation picture done (sorry!) I don't have enough time to work on the next one plus a monthly comic page. So instead we're going to do a pinup!
