AoW 1.30

I won't lie, it's been a rough month.

This is the first update that I ever did that feels like a proper H game update. Got 3 animated H CGs (4 because 1 scene has 2).

I got a lot of stuff in the works like the background above (that's not finished) that I couldn't put in the game just yet, as well as establishing shots (3D CGs) that are still needed, but at least, the text / dialogues should be at the level I'm expecting it to be. I still recommend waiting a month to play it.

1.29 Update

New update with a Vel H-CG, quite a bit of banter, more info on Vel and Ethan and a new animation. Wanted to add more, but I still don't have the battle for after the 3D establishing shot, so Kingdom stuff is for the next update.

AoW 1.28

Most interesting part is a new mission and inclusion of the Mercenary system, even though its introduction has to be reworked with a better tutorial.

Finishing the Krakin arc, mostly with a focus on Xi.
Still missing a half CG.
A new variable for Xi's H scene will make the game crash if you load after said scene.

AoW 1.26 / Battle Update

Here's the link to the 1.26 version, which includes the first draft of the battle system.

I also added a tiny scene with Xi at the end of the current story progression, and the animated CGs for some Camilla, Rachel, and Xi CGs.

(Rough) Battle Build Test Version

Here is the link to the first build for the battle system.
For now, it's quite easy, this is really to test the mechanics and how it plays for the average Joe (rather than the tactical enthusiast).
A lot more work needs to be done on some parts of the UI (mostly all the tutorial stuff)

I'm welcome to all feedback if you have any. Don't hesitate to do so here or on the Discord.
Mercenary system and hard mode are planned and in development. Hopefully, coming soon enough.

Ashes of War 1.24

Here's the MEGA link for the latest version.
It is officially the LAST update focused on the re-writes.
From now on, it's back to completely new stuff.

Only things that will change previously are one scene with Nora, as I need the battle system for it to make sense, some CGs that will become animated CGs, and some work on affection variables that will become a bit more important down the line (this one may kill a couple of saves).

Sprites for Pirates NPCs + Grant

As of now, the Pirates all have been depicted in armor, so I've decided to add some variety to them by putting them out of said armor.

Grant will probably appear in the next update while the others will have to wait a bit.

Final Nora scene adjustments.

Finally received the last elements for Nora's scene (that I'm probably going to re-use down the line).

I can finally say that the initial Nora H-scene is complete (at long last).

The style is a bit different from the usual artists, but I promise the transitions works quite well in game, so hope you'll enjoy it.

It's also the first time where I (kinda) have the MC on screen.

This is already in the game and will be available in the next update.

Ashes of War 1.12

Here's the 1.12 version in case you missed it in Discord

We have:

  • We now have a lot more options for flirting with Rachel.
  • New Story Scene
  • Eva is a bit more perverted than before.
  • The first part of the game should have a lot less typos and errors
  • Battle is still trash but you can now click on your upper left corner of the screen (I hope)

    As always, this breaks the saves. Ask for one if needed.

Version 1.11

You know, this should be the first place where I update, but it always ends up being the last.

Given I don't offer much just yet (I'm planning stuff, really), I prioritize the discord, where it's visible, but I make the assumption everyone's on there, (which should be the case), but I'm the first one to mute servers and banish them to the shadow realm of the bottom of the servers pile, so maybe that's a mistake.

First Version of Battle Module

I finally finished the first version of the battle module.

Let me tell you it was quite a painful experience for a fledgling dev that doesn't know right from left.

Wasn't too sure if updating with stuff I wasn't pleased with was super useful, but maybe I should have keep it a bit more consistent. I'd hoped for a monthly update, but as you can see, I suck at setting deadlines.

So we made a Discord Server, mostly to collect feedback and allow people to discuss the game.
No cool perks for patrons (yet), but I'll probably be a bit more reachable here than on other platforms.

What's next?

During the last few days, I've been busy doing a couple of things.
Fixing bugs, getting versions out for Mac and Android, improving the UI, etc...
All in order to have a product decent enough for Steam.

Which I nearly have, with my remaining task being to roll out a couple 3D animations for the space battles, just to have something a bit more interesting to look at than just the same render I did.
