Strange are the ways to creation : I had to learn modeling to create a marker, then a dildo ( blame someone under the oak for that. It could have been you), to finally be able to model nice and rounded sidewalks myself.
Think of this when you'll be running away from my rampage on these sidewalks.

37 different buildings have been created and optimized for a low poly count.
Now... imagine how this'll look once every building has been modeled, with roads, streets, sidewalks... people... mmm...

I felt like a picture would be in order to explain what I'm currently doing on #CitiesForDaz
A picture speaks more than a thousand words :
I'm doing this, 66 times.
Hopefully it takes a month.
The approach I've taken is to embed the texture in the mesh and not use complex image textures. It'll be heavier in terms of polygon number ( not too much ), but ultimately, you'll end up with surfaces you can easily change in DAZ. Much more flexible.
Voila.
Day 20 :
I've managed to texture 6 more buildings on the whole 66 I've gathered.
Sometimes it's easy.
Sometimes - most of the time - it requires me to recreate a ground floor, create new textures, select more windows, fill vertex holes, all things I learn on the go.
It's wonderful. It's exhausting.
I hope I'll be able to finish this part ( texturing, diversifying ) of the creation at the end of August.
Such are big projects. Such is my vision.
It's a labor of love...
As you already know, I'm working on this huge, pharaonic project of bringing a lightweight, flexible and free city to you all...
Here's where I'm up to.

1 textured building... and 65 to go !
I do it all in blender and do a few tests in DAZ once in a while to see if it looks good... so far so nice !
I've set a "one building per day" goal. Let's see if that works *giggles*

- Quite a few pictures with Alicia and Adelina, space, love and play
- Finalize Sael's picture ! ( she looks awesome in blender )
- Finalize - augh - the falling down animation. Explosions, smoke, sound... there's stil...
