Err... Sorry, I got a little excited. Last week I did the usual do some work on TOTDC 2 (wrote a new scene, tested some effects, implemented some other elements), but now that we are back to Caliross, I'll spend the first week writing some scenes.

Weekly dev blog: Who's A Good Do... Er, Wolf?

The new content for the werewolf path has made good progress already. There are still a few things to finish, and I am preoccupied with finding a good way to present some of the stuff, but the maps are finished some of the puzzle-content is also already in place, so it shouldn't take too long. So, I added all the new quests to the walkthrough and I also started working on the H-scenes list (although I might have to work a bit more on it this weekend). I think I'll tackle the werewolf path this week, as it was part of the plan, but I really don't have much to report (the new poll about the 1.0 version of Caliross is out now, but that's about it).

Caliross 1.0 Priorities

So, here is a list of possible content, mainly based on elements I already brought up in the previous poll for the future of Caliross. Since this is already pretty long, I'll leave it as is. Vote only for the stuff you think should be in the 1.0 release.

We might also have another poll later with new choices (after removing completed things from the list), perhaps with an option to say "now we have enough content" to keep updated on how many people think we have a solid base.

Weekly dev blog: Return To Caliross

Last week I did some work for TOTDC 2, got some rest, and generally didn't touch Caliross, but now I am back at it. I started with some mapping, but I wonder if I should catch up on the walkthrough and the H-scenes list, instead, and throw in some werewolf path + scenes, which should be a good enough way to build next month's release. Weekly dev blog: Identity Crisis

The new quest is almost finished! I am curious if I should make the quest more complex, but then again, it's meant to be a short one. It's still missing a sexy scene and some minor touches (like a questlog entry), but otherwise it doesn't need much else.

Weekly dev blog: Back To Our Regular Schedule

Feels like it's been a while! Anyway, with the TOTDC 1 update behind us (I expect some more typo fixes in the future, but nothing major), I got back into Caliross. Specifically I am currently writing a new quest. It's not too big, it will appear in chapter 5, and will feature Erica's ability to morph into other people. Those are all things I wanted in the quests I was going to add next, so it all fits quite nicely.

The quest is set in Tarkas, but I also have plans for a potential other ...

TOTDC 1 Hotfix

Small hotfix to take care of some typos and a bug:Fixed navigation  console not allowing journey between Janus and Europa 4 after returning  from rescuing Alicia (+ the freeze/crash in the HTML version).

Well-well-well, look who's back from the dead! It's a timely update  (barely 6 years and a half later) to your favourite game, TOTDC!

The End Game

So, we are really getting close to what could be a 1.0 version of Caliross. You can already play the game from beginning to end, after all. What's left is important, but not vital, and I'd like to hear from you guys on how to move on from here, what to add outside of the barebones, if I should go beyond 1.0, how to transition to my next game and so on.

I feel a little bad asking this prior to showing anything significant from TOTDC 2, but on the other hand it would be bad for me to push...

Hotfix: The Big Bug

Okay, perhaps not so big, but it is potentially game-breaking, causing you to get stuck in the guards' clubroom if you go there after already visiting for the day (when you get the random prompt as you go around the commercial district), so I figured this needed addressing. I got no reports of other bugs so far, and I think I waited long enough, so I won't delay this any longer.

September Release: I Haven't Lost The Plot

In fact, I completed another side story! We also have 2 new scenes for Jin and a bunch of bugfixes. Hopefully I can manage my time a bit better in the coming months, I felt a bit under pressure and didn't do as much as I hoped for. Anyway, I think the quality is there, so I can't complain too much.

Weekly dev blog: Quick Recap Pt. 2

So, the quest is finished, and I finished writing the short story as well. The quest seems to have come out interesting as I hoped, although I am fine tuning the last fight, now that I got some feedback for it. I need to write more regularly for the short stories, but with the TOTDC stuff and generally being a bit tired lately, it's been hard to find the time (thankfully I managed to wrap it up).
