Surprisingly, I made decent progress, despite the holiday. I got some mapping done, and I worked on the new quest. This time around, Gaspar will be our unwilling companion in a little adventure in Tarkas. I'll finally get to use the warehouse map which has been sitting around for ages in the commercial district.

Weekly dev blog: We Survived the Holidays!

So much food isn't supposed to fit inside a human... And yet it did. Having said that, I didn't just eat last week (although it feels like it). I did some more work on the H-Scenes list (as I anticipated), I added one new scene with the minotaur chief (so those interested now have a repeatable scene, although this also means having to replay the party first, sorry about the small inconvenience), and I started planning a few quests, as well as handled a few miscellaneous things.

Weekly dev blog: Back In Action!

So, I did rest for the remainder of the week, as mentioned. Today I got back on track, however, and I worked on some miscellaneous stuff. The walkthrough got updated with the last two quests which weren't there, I started adding Carla to the H-scenes list and I added a little bit of functionality to the game (if you can't hear or are simply tone-deaf, you can activate visual cues for the musical puzzles in the game). We don't get in the meat of the situation yet, but that's going to be part of the poll, so it works just fine, and I think there is enough of a direction already to make this interesting. There are also some small differences if you started applying the makeup early on, since this path "works" on the same stat.

Weekly dev blog: PSA Edition

Just a little warning. I wasn't going to write a dev blog, because I figured I'd release the update today, but I am still a little behind schedule, so the game is getting released either tomorrow or the day after that.

I wrote a new scene for the aftermath of the new quest, and the intro for encountering Kairos junior, as well as some bug fixing and polishing after the early feedback from testers.

Weekly dev blog: Release in Sight

This week has been a little on the slow side. We got a tris of scenes (a new one for Marintas's charm in Solina, one scene as a follow-up to the hypno lessons at the circus, and one scene for the harem path). I also did some behind the scenes stuff and tweaked a couple of maps a little (another area in the residential district of Tarkas has been renovated, hopefully with no issues introduced).

This week I finished the quest and wrote a new scene for the charm. I was hoping to write a second scene, but the last bit of the quest took me longer than expected (I needed a little puzzle that wasn't too obvious, nor too obscure). Hopefully everyone will enjoy the event.

This quest is really taking longer than I thought. Finally the first path is finished, I just need to tweak the outro a bit, and decide on the reward. My brain fried trying to write the dialogue branches, and hopefully I did a good job with the possible choices. So, as I pre-announced, I worked more on the quest. There is an awful lot to write, in the form of dead ends for the debate you'll be having with the Archmagus. It's a lot of work, especially since I had to refute my own argument at times. XD
