TUTORIAL: DROP CG TUNING

What’s nice about this tuning is that we still have access to the familiar pentatonic licks!

Thanks for subbing to my patreon and goodluck!

TABS: IM FINE

Play the first “x” (mute) and “0” only the first time to start of the riff.

Its not that important to hit only the right strings.

More important is to keep the up-down strumming going.

Goodluck, let me know how it goes!

TABS: STONER FINGERSTYLE

Notation:

3b/ means “hit the third position and bend up”

3b/\ means “hit the third position and bend up and then down”

b\3 means “start bent up on the third position and then strike the string and bend down”

Let me know if you’re struggling with the piece!

TABS: MINOR INCONVENIENCE

The percussion patterns used in this song are basically pattern 34 with the break: that is pattern 40 from tutorial 17. And then there’s the turnaround Pattern 42, also from tutorial 17.

Furthermore in theory they’re all unmutes but in the version 2025–03-21 they didn’t all come out. It’s a matter of skill/preference(/randomness).

H1 means first harmonic (on the twelfth fret). GL!

TABS: ALL THE SWEATS (SIMPLIFIED)

This is a version of All the sweats that relies wholly on on pattern 34 from tutorial 14, it also contains no flips, lazers or scratches. The post from 2024-11-22 also uses some upstroke snares featured in the patterns from tutorial 17. The “H1” means “first harmonic”, that is the harmonic on the twelfth fret.

TABS: HAMMERED

TUTORIAL 13: GUITAR FLIP

Don’t destroy your guitar, practice it on a 2-person bed if you only have expensive guitars!

TUTORIAL 5: DOWNSTROKE SNARE

This is why my guitar is so wrecked.

Get a Pickguard if you like but those decrease the bass on the kicks in my opinion.

By now I’ve had to put a plastic piece of tape over the wood because I was tearing through it.
