He passed away last year and I miss him so much. We grew up together, so I always get teary-eyed when I think of him. Wherever he is now, I'm sure he's running non-stop, chasing after birds!

Comic Page Process!

Hey guys! 

Here's a little inside into my new comic page process. I'm testing out some different methods to make production faster!

1- Start out with a sloppy thumbnail

2- Sketch the characters and general background 

3- Paint the color flats of all characters, using 3 layers at maximum, with the selection tool. This increased my work speed a lot! 

4- Start painting the background directly on the page, also adding speech bubbles. I suggest you plan your s...

NoN - Late Summer - Page # 01

Hey Guys!

Here's a little something I've been working on for a while. I'm testing out different styles for No North's future comic pages in between IndieGoGo commissions, trying to make them faster to produce, but still detailed and pleasing to look at. Also, I'm trying to focus more on what will look better on printed paper as well – not using colours that are too dark and making use of a thicker, more "traditional" looking lineart.

Warren took the traveler in out of pity, but demanded to be payed with either money or work for his stay. Steban can hardly afford either of them, since he's a complete mess working at the smithy and has - 20 money, so he just runs away through the attic window ...

Just a sketch of Lester being overly-worried and protective of Faye. 

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned, but Faye is Lester's partner and deputy in Gold Marrow. Partner not in a romantic way, although Lester would very much like that! 

This change really contributed to the script, and it's been up since I first started writing.

Watercolour Dreams

I mentioned a few days ago I've been working more on Delilah, but I've never really shared my progress with you guys.

She's fascinated by visual art and really enjoys creating her own paintings, specially using watercolour. She'd rather paint landscapes of places she'll never go (or at least she thinks she won't) and nature. She thinks her dog portraits are bad and usually just sticks to painting plants. But Delilah's actually pretty good at portraits too!

I'm back with part 2 of our little tutorial.

I used Delilah and Baltazar as models since they're some of my most well defined feminine and masculine archetype characters. Steban and Chase are good examples of how the body language can communicate gender, not only features, since they're both quite slender. 

Nothing of that is set in stone and this is just a simple tutorial to help you deal with...

The Idealist

I'm sorry I haven't been active on Patreon lately, specially regarding comments. A few things happened in my personal life and everything seems to be upside down. A drawing I did back in 2016 that I never got to finish :) 

These two develop an unlikely romance throughout the story which I really enjoy. I haven't yet figured if this will actually happen in the comic, since I really don't want anything to be too cheesy, but I do enjoy drawing them together. 

Maybe their opposing personalities are what make them tick so well together. At this point, I don't know who's keeping who safe or wild. I think they share the roles haha
