Little update

Hi everyone, I haven't disappeared. I was sick for a month and bogged down in work that I had to do. I hope to be back soon. I constantly write down all my ideas and gamedev stuff so I don't forget anything! Thank you very much for your patience!

Thank you very much for your patience and your support. It actually helped me a lot in January when i had to buy lots of medicine but could not even go outside...

Working on this vampire for halloween. I always loved how Dracula appears to be an older lean man, but it was always fun to think that he might be very hot under those vampire clothes!

Van Helsing's Bike riding mock up level

Just wanted to show you some progress with a video available from link only.

In between levels you can ride on Van Helsing's bike (to show you cool snowy and comfy cyberpunk world). I made this very rough mock up level with random placeholder graphics.

So...it's like getting the mission -> getting on the bike -> riding through streets -> entering the mission. In a pixelated retro style. (the Bike Riding level is basically retro DOOM game but with a car lol)

(it makes me so happy that after 3 years the lore of Steel Frost is so rich with details. I always kept thinking about it and writing down ideas, and now I have absolutely no problem with doing characters/robots/etc. because I see it all very clearly).

Now I will go back to finishing normal patreon pictures and go back to the game after that. Next time I hope to show some videos of gameplay (the VanHelsing's demo is also almost done).

My budget is ultra small (more like it don't exist at all haha!) but thanks to this patreon's support i will be able to do that i think.

Pixel Game stuff with daddies

Here are some side project sketches! I'm drawing graphics for a Vanhelsing's promo game little by little every evening.

Hope to upload it on itch so you will be able to actually walk thought the pixelated world of Steel Frost and do something (Visual Novels are cool but they are not that "arcade" like so this will be refreshing!).

How i wish to get voice acting for "Van Helsing and Phantoms of Nexus"... the game needs voices. But I can't afford that at this moment. Let's hope grunting sound effects (like "Hmmm" or "Humm?!") will be enough.

I'm so happy to get a physical copy of a book that I drew a cover for! I also went to Rome to take some photos in "authentic" locations haha - hope these will help with book promotion - Austin is awesome and his characters are great!

PS: by the way...i had no idea that inside of this book there are insanely HOT scenes haha! :D

Work in progress

Been working on commission and side jobs to build up for the final run with Van Helsing game and Jack's platformer.

Here are a couple of things I have been working on these days. So happy to work on a second cover for Austin Miller (@absman420 on Twitter). It's a second book about centaurs that I've been drawing back then.

The cover is not the final version-some changes and corrections need to be made.

Studying the Chinese market (game-related)

One of Discord users and a patreon supporter introduced me a chinese video posting platform (similar to english Youtube) - Bilibili.

It's basically a whole new layer of society with its own memes and audience and its monthly active users are comparable to the US population.

in November I worked mainly for game development and neglected paid work, so I had to take on extra tasks in December. But they were all fun, and one of them was the cover of the book - check this out. I'm so happy to work on a homoerotic novel that will be printed as a physical copy!

Can't wait for 2024. I really hope it will be a year of games!

Should I add Quick Time Events to the final boss battle?

Final boss battle with a giant enemy (sort of "Shadow of the Colossus meets God of War" from Playstation 2). But because it's a Visual Novel, I thought of doing a lineup of quick time events that will lead you to victory.
